New farming action - Harvest and resow

An action that would harvest HarvestAmount-1 and will resow the currently harvested crop.

Action timer would be simply time to harvest+time to sow + maybe a tiny amount extra for effectively skipping the pick seed/ crush action.

 

A good QoL change.

I have to -1 this only because.....

 

Then woodcutters would want sow after chopping the trees down. For sprouts. 

 

Smithing would be so screwed, they have to do each action many times in order to process one step of the imping.  I see that as way more tedious work than what a typical medieval farm would be expected.

 

This is my opinion only not knocking yours.

The woodcutting idea would be great too, though most people don't replant sprouts every time they cut down a tree.

 

Your smithing idea makes no sense. The whole issue this addresses is that you have to select each seed individually. With smithing you can use the same five tools forever.

Aye, but you have to select each tool to use, it doesn't auto sort which one for you. Like the proposed farming/seeding combo action the OP suggested.

 

My opinion was no, only for the fact it will trickle down to other professions.  If I made it unclear, sorry.

Harvesting with the exception of grains does not use a tool.  So it would only be selecting the seed to plant with that wasn't actively done.
