Animals Won't Stay Tamed

Recommended Posts

I've never had a problem before now, but since this morning if I tame an animal, log out and log back in the animal stays logged off - log off and log on again, animal reappears no longer tamed, no matter what level it's at. This is on both Chaos and Freedom with toons of different skill levels.

[10:03:37] You start to tame the adolescent fat Thunderwest.

[10:03:48] The adolescent fat Thunderwest eats a mixed grass.

[10:03:48] Adolescent fat Thunderwest is now submissive to your will.

[10:04:34] Welcome back, -! The Exodus server has been waiting for you.

I've repeated this over ten times now, with varying lengths of time before log out and no difference.

I've had similar issues with logged-off pets not reconnecting after I disconnect from the game abnormally. From what I've heard, the game then un-tames the pet as a workaround to resolve the situation.
Why this would be happening to you after a normal logoff is another question entirely.

Correct, this is a fix to prevent the tamed animal from sitting in the void until it untames, and probably dying or never coming back

I'm not logging off abnormally, though. I'm closing out of the client normally with no errors or error messages.
