It's allowing you to fuel the beesmoker with cooking oil, but you can just endlessly put oil in and it doesn't even notice you put loads in. (I put x28 oil in...and it said I still needed to put fuel in)...this is a game mechanics issue.

Edit : Also, cotton used to be allowed to be used as a fuel (Which actually made sense...as this and other little bits of cloth and whatnot are often what a real beekeeper uses...my father was an actual beekeeper so I used to see him stuffing his.)...but now cotton isn't working when you try and fuel it with it.

Not sure if this is the same problem:

When I fuelled my bee smoker with tar I expected 13 units or thereabouts to be taken from the tar lump (as with lamps), however, the entire lump (several kg) was consumed. It is not a massive problem as I have a tar supply close-by but I too was surprised by the appetite of the said smoker.

I noticed this with a barrel of cotonseed oil, I filled my lantern with it, and then the bee smoker, as it was the only thing I had on me at the time out in the wilderness and the smoker sucked back 28kgs of oil, cleaned the barrel out, meant to post it.
