[FIXED] Completed Alcohol and Vinegar recipes not adding to cookbook

Strange, my racks are locked to only myself and my alt Yomo, only Nadroj has done anything with them though. I checked Yomo to be certain but nothing.

Nadroj, would you be willing to try another and seal it while it is on the ground rather than in the rack and then place it in the rack?

 

I'm grasping for anything right now.

 

Also - I have no rare cauldron, oven, barrels, racks, woodscraps, armor.  The only thing that may be different is that I cooked my stuff above ground - although I can't see what difference that would make.

 

Anyone else who has vinegar and or other beer types, can you share your experiences?  Did you get them added to your cookbook?

I had a pale ale finish while I was on, and on my deed, and it did not add to my cookbook. The rest I've had finish while I was offline, and none of them were added-mostly vinegars. They are in a rack. 

 

ETA: wait, I take that back. Logged in this morning, and pale ale was added! No vinegar though.

I made 4 different types of vinegar (might be 5?) and so far none of them got properly added to my cookbook, too. Never left the server, nobody else laid hands on them etc. I wonder if this has to do with the creation process of vinegar and how drinks are shown in the cookbook - if you have one unlocked, it wont show. When you create the vinegar it doesn't even say that it will be creating vinegar.

We have had some success this time! With the key difference that i created all of the sealed fermenting drinks on the ground, then picked them up and put them into the rack instead of just creating inside the rack, one has worked.

 

So far only one of the 8 has fermented, a stout, but it's in my cookbook! huzzah!

All of my vinegars worked and got added to my cookbook.  

 

So my guess as of right now with Nadroj's latest results - it seems that the issue may be doing the 'create' portion (sealing) while the barrel is in the rack.  I created all my vinegar and beers while the barrel was on the ground then moved the sealed barrels to the rack.

 

Do you remember if you sealed in the rack or on the floor?

 

Another test would be to seal it in the rack, take it out of the rack then put it back into the rack.

Beer Pilsner Stout and Bitter all just added. I think it's safe to say that the bug is with creating while the barrels are in the rack Up to you devs now

This is what I did hope it helps.

 

Created nine wine barrels on the floor in my workshop.

Placed a variety of wort, wort with hops, wort with sassafras and apple juice in the barrels.

Sealed the barrels on the floor using different wood type woodscraps.

Pushed the barrels around the floor to make it look tidy.

Wait

 

Several days later some of the barrels have finished fermenting while I was offline and made new drinks some which I had not created before.

None of them have been added to my cookbook.

No barrels have been in a rack or other container.

No barrels were in my inventory at any stage.

 

Could the problem be because I never had the barrels in my inventory ?

 

I'm going to pick up and drop the remaining barrels and see if they get added to cookbook.

Update to previous post

 

Drinks completed fermenting while I was logged off and/or on another server - none were added to my cookbook.

 

Going to do another test using some barrels that have previously been in inventory and some that haven't although I suspect this isn't the problem.

Just finished a batch and the new recipes were properly added. Created on ground, then put into rack.

 

Will have to try again to make another batch of vinegar to see if it gets added,

This should be fixed with today's update for various cases and configurations as to how the barrel was handled.  I'm going to lock this thread, but please do start a new one if any bugs show up with any barrels which were sealed today after the update.
