Citadel (server upgrade) - Not loading mods

Recommended Posts

Hey there.

This morning, due to lagginess, Citadel moved us to their "new" infrastructure. It's nice, and fast.

However, I noticed that mods weren't being loaded, a long with other things...

Then I tailed the logs, and it seems they are adding the java command line options to the wurm launcher exe.

Anyone else encountered this and know of a fix I can apply myself? Waiting for support is not really an option :(

Some idea of what I am saying, see the Unknown Parameter lines... that is just facepalmy for me :|

I guess it's time to consider a different hosting provider. Wurm is a 24/7 thing, and the last few hours have had players upset, which I understand :|

Still cannot find where to set that. I think the issue is that the params are java params and needs to be inside launchconfig ini, the exe does not accept them as arguments.

From memory, there is a configuration option in the Citadel control panel where you can set the server command line options.

This is based on 4 - 6 months ago from before I moved away from Citadel so they may have changed it since then.

I would place a support ticket if you haven't already done so.

Best of luck!

Thanks

Yeah I placed it, but the previous ticket took a day to get a response.

You're absoluitely correct about the command line editor. However, it only allows you to set the command line params.

Citadel seems to set the "foobar.exe" part, and then appens your custom command line to it. :/

For anyone else's that may encounter this issue:

The problem seems to have gone away with a modloader uninstall + reinstall... Even though it showed on citadel as "installed", it was not.

I once had a problem where the citadel tool reported the modloader installed at the latest version when a quick look at the server log showed that on startup it was an earlier version so I recommend double-checking what actual version you are running by reviewing the server.log file on server startup.
