Posted May 31, 2016 I don't know what to add: unstable just doesn't open. I click the link, it shows "downloading", then it freezes at Wurm picture, no logs of any kind, no messages, no nothing, just a pic in the middle of the screen, immovable, can close it from task bar or Task Manager, but nothing else, and cannot interact with the picture itself in any way. Stable client runs fine, I get no crashes or errors.
Posted May 31, 2016 (edited) Open java control panel and under the Advanced tab choose to show java console. It should display any error in a separate window. Edited May 31, 2016 by Darkshade

Thanks!! usually it shows crashes or errors for the normal client, generates report files, I assumed would do the same for the unstable one too, so didn't check. Extended blonde moment! Posted May 31, 2016 Evening, can you check test unstable client to see if you get the same experience? http://www.wurmonline.com/client/wurmclient_test_unstable.jnlp

Posted May 31, 2016 I see from the console log you are using Java version: 1.8.0_25, I think Java version: 1.8.0_91 is out. You should always keep Java up to date to keep your system secure. Maybe as a side effect it will fix your Wurm error

Posted June 2, 2016 (edited) I'm having a similar issue, but with a few differences: -Only happens in Linux (Windows 10 works fine) -Crashes before fully loading the Wurm logo (it appears as a white box and then disappears, leaving an <untitled> task in the task bar) OS: Arch Linux 64-bit GPU: Sapphire R9 Fury X (AMDGPU driver) Edited June 2, 2016 by Fawkes

Posted June 4, 2016 Please update Java and try again. Earlier versions of 1.8 didn't come bundled with javafx, which it now does. Javafx is needed for the new launcher.
