WSA: Guide to rift gear

Recommended Posts

WSA.png

All loot comes comes in 25, 50,75 and 100 ql versions plus standard chance of rarity. Apart from the blessed seryll rings, the strength of the bonuses are determined by quality, as they take damage, the bonus will go down.

THESE ITEMS ARE NOT REPAIRABLE

This means that these items do have limited lifespans, and the market should have both a steady incoming supply without drowning it with these items.

RINGS

Generic blessed seryll ring with empty socket.

Does nothing until you attach a gem which can be done by jewelry smiths of enough proficiency.

These rings give certain situational bonuses that consume "charges". The first time you put it on it uses 1 charge then every hour another one is used up. Common lasts 50 hours, Rare 75, Supreme 100, Fantastic 150 (i.e. has this many charges). When removed they cause negative effect for 5 minutes depending on which gem is inside.

Quote

       Exhaustion: 50% stamina regeneration
       Clumsiness: -4 CR
       Vulnerability: +10% damage

  •         Sapphire: Stamina reduction +5% causes Vulnerability when removed.
  •         Emerald: Dodge +5%, Clumsiness when removed
  •         Ruby: CR+2, Clumsiness when removed
  •         Opal: Spell resist base +5%, Exhaustion when removed
  •         Diamond: Healing effect +5%, Vulnerability when removed
  •         Star versions have an increased effect.
  •         Gem rarity changes the rift item to higher rarity if so.

2. Improves random skill skillgain
3. Prevents swimming damage
4. Ring of stealth. Improves chance of going stealthy
5. Ring of stealth detection. Improves chances of detecting stealthed players

BRACELETS:

1. Improves parry bonus for crushing
2. Improves parry bonus for two handed
3. Increases pierce damage
4. Increases polearm damage
5. Increases enchant damage bonus

NECKLACES:

1. Increases fighting skill gain

2. Increases improve skill max

3. Reduces hurting time

4. Increases chance to focus

5. Replenishment, reduces food and drink consumption

So two questions to help clear up the use.

So a common ring will last 50 hours if put on and not taken off, then what happens if you take it off after 15 minutes will it still have 48.45 hours of life?

Does taking off the ring then putting it back on count as first time use each time?

Gonna say yes to the taking off and putting back on part and going to guess that it does not break the hour down, if you take it off at 1 and quarter hours you will probably lose 2 hours and then another when you put it back on. So would have used 3 hrs of it in less than 2. Unless the first time is only for the player who has it, then if you sell/exchange it then the next players will lose a hour when they first put it on.

This is correct, whole numbers only. Think of them as charges instead of hours. Equipping uses a charge, each additional hour of use uses a charge.

If the ql of the socketed ring gives you more hours per ql

the gem determines the effect + star increased version

the rarity of the gem increases the rarity of the socketed ring

.... Then what does the ql level of the gem improve?

Gem QL is for the quality of the effect given, it's not a flat 5% etc, is based on the gem QL.

Unless the difference is HUGE ican't see many people wasting star gems on this, some cool ideas in the bunch i'm just looking at that particular bit and thinking "star gems are crazy rare as is without deliberately melting them thanks..."

How come Jewel smiths cant upgrade gems with some difficulty? Like crush/heat/remold or something? only done at very high skill.

To spell it out a bit differently: Every time a new hour is begun it costs 1 charge?

So now we have giant rabbitmen and albino kyklops with better opticians along with shoulder pads that don't animate with arm movements....can we get an actual model for the king armours? or hota medallions? or bracelts that work in general and don't take a ring slot or armour sleeve? Just spitballing some things that have existed ages that needed new art more than a whole new feature needed new art.

Yes this sounds sarcastic and facetious. That's what years of neglecting players and not bothering with original art (buying it all and ignoring what the game describes doesn't count if you don't pay for it to look right, see avatars and valrei mobs descriptions fellas) gets you.
