Posted January 1, 2016 Firstly, I am surprised a thread has not stated beforehand. On Thursday 29th December 2015, Ian Fraser Kiminster, better known and loved by his nickname of Lemmy, passed away. He was born in Stoke -on Trent in 1945, to a Captain of the RAF and his mother, who both were separated when Ian was only 3 months old. Many will know him as the lead vocalist o Motorhead, with their iconic song, Ace of Spades. Prior to that, he was th'e frontman of Hawkwind, and can be seen in the video of Silver Machine, a huge chunk of '60's classic psychedelic rock. Thank you Lemmy, and Motorhead, for giving me so man good times. Forever you shall remain in our hearts. Rest in peace.
Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) One of the real icons. And was supposed to be invincible and immortal. Killed by Death, Immortal by Rock (may not be an exact quotation and I'm unsure who said it but tells everything) Edited January 1, 2016 by Jaz

Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) Terrible news really for me and many of my rl friends. Not that I ever listened much to Motorhead but Hawkwind was always one of my absolute favourites <3 The rock scene lost one of the greatest.
