Posted December 15, 2015 (edited) so it does not go in Steam\steamapps\common\Wurm Unlimited Dedicated Server\mods. What would be the detailed path for the file to go in, would it be Steam\steamapps\common\Wurm Unlimited\WurmLauncher? sorry never used client mods before. Posted December 15, 2015 Any Plans to make the Map size adjustable? Atm its more like a Radar.
Posted December 16, 2015 This is very, very cool. I am looking forward to showing it to a few friends who always get "lost" while playing Wurm.

In the client folder there is a folder "PlayerFiles" with the subfolder "players" and then one for each player. In there are files "windows_<Width>x<Height>.txt" which contain the window position and size. Delete those (or remove the line with livemapwindow) and it should show the window in the correct size. Unfortunatly there's no way to load only the position from those files. 34 minutes ago, Caduryn said: Any Plans to make the Map size adjustable? Atm its more like a Radar. It's supposed to be like that. The client only sees the near area with high detail. A global server map might be possible at a low detail though. But that's not on my agenda right now.
Posted December 16, 2015 https://github.com/ago1024/LiveHudMap/releases/tag/v1.1 Version 1.1 using textured buttons fixed memory leak using fixed size The buttons are still ugly but at least it's possible now to have nicer buttons created by someone with better graphics feats (and aesthetics) than I have.

Posted December 16, 2015 this is really awesome but can we get maybe a larger zoom out? or does it depend on local?
Posted December 16, 2015 (edited) There is only a limited area available in high resolution. The flat and topographic view could actually work with a 256x256 area instead of just 128x128 but the same size has issues on the edges of the 3d view. Everything past that is only available as 16x16 tiles which would result in a 128x128 map of a whole Adventure sized server. A blocky mess of pixels that looks even worse than those buttons. Posted December 16, 2015 What about making it so 3D has the 128 x 128 max however the other two modes can go 256 x 256? It would be interesting to see what one more level does for location perspective.
Posted December 16, 2015 I paid ago a pretty good chunk of change to develop this mod for me. Our server community put it through some pretty thorough testing, It did everything i needed it to do..Then I suggested he release it to the rest of the community He has a lot of projects on his plate he wants to get done. I suggest if you want features or enhancements you offer up some coin
Posted December 16, 2015 (edited) Changing the size is just two numbers to change. I'm just not sure how different zoom levels for the different surface maps feel consistency wise. This is the Adventure JK starting area (the town is on the south border of the 256x256 map). Edited December 16, 2015 by ago
Posted December 16, 2015 I cam understand the consistency concern, was wondering about it myself. Looking at the zoom shots you shared, it does appear that the 256 zoom would give someone a better perspective of where they are on the server. Thanks for developing the mod, greatly appreciated. ~Nappy
