reduce mission rewards for home server mission on your own home servers. here is a little taste of the problem 0.20% risk.

if you hate it so much, instead of spending your time nerding on an alt and nerding copy/paste in your favor, go stop the people that do missions

 

like 90% of mrh missions are done by people that live there

 

do note, i think people getting over 1400 rank with 1 death tab kill on a slayer alt is pretty dumb, but so are these kinda whine threads that aren't really constructive and only come up when you're not liking what your enemy does.  it's no different than rushing to suggestions immediately after losing a fight

Thanks for resorting to name calling and pointing out that 90% of none pvpers get the mission items when there for pvp.

I just go by who the gods favour I could be wrong but 80% of missions are done on the home server for safety reasons, thats a fact.

not so much about that they're able to spam missions but that people doing missions on homeservers is just to minimize the risk which means minimize the pvp, remove friendly homeserver missions and wurm gets more pvp

not really like, if you have to choose between killing 40 lions on a home server or building a pylon in the south east, nobody wants to build the pylon no matter where it is especially after mr built every single monument required on old elevation already, much less if they have to sail for 2+ hours or whatever then spend hours building

 

or, nobody is going to go drain a capital deed vs cutting a tree in the center regions.  Not because of risk, but it's just.. not really feasible

 

Or sac 6 mission items.  We try, people spend hours searching and it's mind numbing.  Who wants to seriously nerd out looking for glowing blue things for 10 hours when they can just go sac 50 carving knives?

 

It's not the risk thing, it's just ease.  We don't really do blh missions lately because we don't like sailing forever to reach the mrh border to sail forever down mrh to avoid sailing the huge server then crossing back to cross into another server and spend forever sailing again, then repeat it all to go back.  Jkh is even worse, it's not even on our radar just because it takes so long to get there.  Same thing with most traitor animals that aren't in mr lands, we cant just ride to a certain part of the map to find a certain animal because this map has crappy chokepoints, so we're stuck sailing for ages combined with riding around for ages too

 

We'd do more of this so-called "risky" missions if they weren't so stupid to do.  Most just simply will not dedicate a day towards doing one mission, over and over and over

updated since this post 2 players that live on eleavation have gained 10 points in rank from mrh missions alone ^^

10 more mrh mission have been done none on any other server. thats a about 28 mag missions done on mrh, none home server ones =1

tbh the whole thing needs to be balanced

 

> all missions need to be available for priests - it's a religious thing, it makes sense that priests should take part

> karma / scenario point gains need to be balanced based on difficulty - more for things like draining capital deeds and pylons, less for cutting trees

> finding certain missions (ie. traitor animals) needs to be streamlined so as not to require a priest to cast a locate spell on the spot, perhaps a new lurker enchant for pendulums is in order that would find trees, traitor animals, etc. as with other lurker spells (and balance the karma gain of those missions to compensate for lessened difficulty)

> Elevation missions should give significantly more reward than same kingdom home server, and enemy home servers should give more than Elevation to account for combat penalties / danger

> taking inspiration from Klaa (genuinely surprised) - consider implementing a sort of bounty system that rewards players who kill enemy player who recently completed missions; the bounties are not visible, but it works as a sort of invisible accumulation of points that increase after a mission is completed proportional to difficulty and gradually decrease over time - thing of it as a god rewarding his / her followers for interrupting the actions of another god's followers
