Posted May 12, 2015 Hi everyone! Happy to say the release went pretty smooth compared to others especially with such a big update! We'll sort most of the quirks out tomorrow but we don't want to restart unless there are really bad bugs. I'd really love to see screenshots of any bridges you build. Preferrably with people on them. We may want to use them for advertising or stuff like that but really I'm just interested in what you build. So go ahead and post. Try to include yourself in the image.. somehow.. Cheers and have fun,Rolf

Posted May 12, 2015 Kind of a bad season for screenshots with all of the snow from winter but i am interested to see what everyone is doing too.
Posted May 12, 2015 I would think that a "really bad bug" includes a large number of players being unable to even download the patch. \_(ツ)_/¯
Posted May 12, 2015 Well my staircase is made out of air.. can walk and up and down but looks like an open place.
Posted May 12, 2015 You can download the test client and replace your graphics.jar file with that one in your regular client to fix the patching error.
Posted May 12, 2015 This needs to be posted elsewhere, Csponge. This worked for me after hours of troubleshooting!
Posted May 12, 2015 (edited) More of a ramp than a bridge, but it works! Edited May 13, 2015 by Huntar
Posted May 12, 2015 Mmm hadn't thought of using bridges as ramps with little or no gap underneath, nice.
Posted May 12, 2015 So maybe this has been answered before but the ramp picture got me thinking. Can we use them to connect to houses? like a walkway over a road?
Posted May 12, 2015 Someone said bridges had to be a minimum of 5 tiles long... is it true we can actually build ramps as pictured above? Or smaller foot-bridge types?

Posted May 12, 2015 if its supposed to be a minimum length of 5 tiles, can we have that changed to just two? That picture above looks lovely compared to the 2/3/4 tile long dirt ramps we usually see.
Posted May 12, 2015 what happens when you try to walk under that ramp?

Posted May 12, 2015 (edited) Best not to hit them at 25mph in a wagon though... Edited May 12, 2015 by Pragmatist
Posted May 12, 2015 Best not to hit them at 25mph in a wagon though... can you sail a boat under that bridge? I made a 3 long marble bridge about 13-15 dirt above waterlevel and can't drive a rowboat under it even.... kinda sad but oh well

Posted May 12, 2015 Rowboat, sailboat and knarr all go through fine. oh that is good news, do you know how high above the water it is and which steepness you used?
Posted May 12, 2015 oh that is good news, do you know how high above the water it is and which steepness you used? Well, the bridge is 20 slope, with an 10-dirt ramp either side. Not sure what height it starts from I'm afraid, but you can get a reasonable idea from the second screenshot.
Posted May 13, 2015 Solid wall, can't walk under. Also here's a picture taken during the day. this is kewl
Posted May 13, 2015 just simple question... how tall is 1 house floor from ground? 40? 60? slope
Posted May 13, 2015 Me and my roommate built a small 1x3 over a small area where the horses sometimes get stuck before taking on a larger job! Introducing! "Ike and Lexi's Awesome First Bridge" That's officially what I named it =) This wildcat was hostile not tamed!.. It just walked into the photo and didn't attack. But I thought it looked cool! =D
