Christmas presents... ideas for the devs

Recommended Posts

yes it's that time of year where we're all wondering what gonna be in the gift this time...

an erroneous gnome? a woodscrap? or something else?

be creative, make a wishlist...

i'll start it off with

A wooden sparring sword. seems simple enough. imping it gives weaponsmithing skill, using carp tools.

That would be really good, a wooden sword - simple but nice.

A one-day mutestick for when the complaints about the gifts roll in

I would not count on anything that makes a part of the game easier.  The last few presents were eye candy, no special use for them.  If they actually made a useful item, it would be called out as OP.

A red nose. Goes on the face slot. glows in the dark similar to moon metals. (not lantern/lamp style)

Antlers. Goes on the head slot.

purely cosmetic and also simple to model.

I want a stick horse that you can ride but that goes normal human walking speed.

I'd post a pic of one, but evidently I'm not allowed to do that anymore :(

A tabard slot item which restores the pre-visible armour look (aesthetically only, of course). I want to see some people running around in green Link tunics, some goth HotS people, etc.

a candy tree:

A little tree which provide every day a candy.

The candy will have a random ql and if eaten turns you into a leprechaun for a short time (the size of the leprechaun will depends on the ql of the candy :) )

I guess this years christmas present comes in the form of a big patch instead of an ingame item. Would be happy with bridges, boats, enhances graphic engine and the new taskbar.

Problem with good stuff is someone is going to complain; in fact the better the gift, a correlation in the escalation of complaints: boks, spyglasses, etc

Anyways, Ive been a bad boy, so 99ql coal for me I guess.

Never did understand how that was a bad thing... heh first world, middle class problems.  :P

EDIT: Obligatory sandwich tree plug.

Ooh, a wish list?  love it.

- a bag or pouch to put food in that holds very little but slows decay greatly.

How about a stocking to hang on the fireplace? Then the next year we get two presents one under the tree and one in our stockings but the stocking one can be a fun gag gift like coal for instance, lol

Something which turns into a wood scrap if you complain about it.

Nuuuuhhhhh.....Elwood will convert everything to woodscraps just for the sake of it.....
