Bugged wooden floor

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow Wurmians!

I finished the first floor of my brand new building last week and today I noticed that my wooden floor was bugged. When being walked on the sound remains the same as on a grass tile. Even on the second floor. Before building the house I flatenned the ground. Also the bug doesn't seem to appear in other houses. All other sounds seem to work. ( cobble tiles,  clay tiles or even caves).

With stone slab beneath the ground floor of my house, walking on the wooden floors on any level produces the sound of walking on stone slab instead of wooden planks.

I'm not sure if the sound worked correctly originally, as when I first built the house I packed the dirt underneath it before putting in wooden plank floors not to mention I had the footsteps sound setting turned off. After completing the house I ripped up the wooden plank floor on the ground level and paved beneath it with stone slabs before replacing the wooden floor and turning the footsteps sound effect on.

Bumping this because this is still an issue.

With current game mechanics, the terrain type is really the terrain on the ground under the floor.

If you have grass you will walk slower, if you pave it you will walk faster.

I play with footsteps off so I never noticed this.

Hopefully there is a way for them to turn off the sound tag when you build a floor.

I thought they had fixed the terrain speed issue inside houses, but I suppose not. I honestly haven't made a house in forever so the lack of any fixes has gone unnoticed by me. Hopefully they'll fix both of these issues (terrain sound, terrain speed).
