Sitting : A Useful Option

Essentially this allows one to sit on the various chairs/stools we have.

What is the benefit?

A small increase in skillgain for certain skills

 

A small decrease in timers for certain skills

A slight increase in the amount of hunger food restores

Base all of these on chair QL.  Moving ends the sitting.

Optional Extra : Allow sitting on rugs for a lesser effect.

Nice and simple.

I don't think any bonus at all needs to be made, just the flat option to sit in a Chair.

I think a stamina regen effect would be nice based on the ql of the chair but nothing more than that.

Perhaps slower "consumption" of one's food/thirst bars, as one is burning fewer calories as compared to actively working.

I do believe that they are working on sitting, for the boats which I am sure will lead to sitting for chairs and other stuff :)

Or maybe gives shorter tiem between heal ticks.

^^ would be nice, expecially  after having a sever wound you can bandage and treat with healing cover but there is still like 50 dmg wound left, sitting to get rid of it faster wound be a nice idea

Since a sort of sitting pose has come into the game now with meditation, "sitting" on rugs is now possible, as mentioned in the OP. Sitting on boats may soon come to follow. Although no specific benefits are attached other than the visual effects, the pose and function seem well enough to me.

Would be nice to be able to sit on the bench on my balcony and sip wine while enjoying the view :)

Wurm is the only game I know that has animations, and dosen't allow you to sit or lay down, etc.

Great proposal but as Shrimpiie said i think that allowing players to sit in chairs in general, even for a more roleplay-ish effect would benefit. Getting into bonus's could be nice though.
