  1. Six years ago I built my first stone building - it was QL35 and it lasted almost 8 months - five years ago I built several 1x1 stone buildings at QL 55 and they lasted several years before damage levels hit 60. 6 months ago I built several buildings QL 75 and they lasted less than 6 months before decay levels hit 60 at the same time I built some stone walls at QL 75 and they have only 22 damage. 2 days ago I built a stone building QL 85 and it already has 3 damage. I left the trowel on the ground outside after building this building and it still has 0 damage. it doesn’t make much sense that a stone wall that isn't part of a building lasts 3 times longer than a stone wall that is part of a building if their QL's are the same. Why is the decay on buildings so much higher than any other object save dirt in the game?
  2. I have noticed that offdeed lockpicking is bugging out where I guess it can't tell who is the owner of the gate/building and know if you are an enemy or not. The normal time it should stay open is 10 minutes and nothing will change that. However, there is a mechanic where an enemy in local will mean the gate will open for 1 minute for your own gates/buildings when walked through. But what happens is if pick an enemy's gate/building after you pick it open for 10 minutes, it will be fine until you walk through it and it will instantly change to 1 minute timer instead of the 10 minute one it should stay. This means it thinks you own the gate and if an enemy is in local, it makes it really hard to lockpick through an area.
  3. Upon the peak of Mt Nyriandiol a forest is growing. One of maple, walnut, linden and chestnut. A scattering of oaks, willows and various bushes completes the magic. The forest is well tended, the area is bountiful. Yet it is also so very quiet, I'm rather used to having plenty of neighbours. I once founded a large community on release, one torn apart by greed and competition. This project is, I hope, one what will not suffer the same fate. Thus I am offering an invitation to like minded people (those who enjoy the kind of forest mentioned above) to live upon this peak with me. Crucial Information : 40 min walk up/down to the waterfront through a hidden passageway Prime flattened land on offer Iron, Marble and Slate local. Extensive mine with plenty of potential for expansion, largely unprospected (305 tiles of unprospected tunnel). New & Experienced players welcome, be you just starting out or an experienced wurmian looking to enjoy the quiet life. Important Notes : Large scale farmers/ranchers (tree murderers) are not encouraged to apply. Smallscale farmers (think 11x11 max) are welcome. Players will be encouraged to keep their own microdeed, though I have a spare bed for anyone looking to lodge for a while. This is foremost aimed as a forest community (cannot stress this enough), so expect gravel paths, enough trees to make a druid happy and the most amazing view on Xanadu. We aim to keep it hat way too, so while cutting of trees is welcome it is expected you'd replant with the same tree type! I do ask that anyone who does deed up here leaves their perimeter to the forest (considering that perimeters have NO protection whatsoever now I doubt this will be an issue) The aim is to found a community, one where people are not afraid to help one another out but also not afraid to say that they can't. A Few Benefits A largely abandoned area at the base of the peak, perfect for larger personal projects. The safety of isolation, with community members and those they invite the only ones able to reach the peak without significant effort (and likely death) Animals seem to love this place, one can live entirely from hunting around here Free fo casts for locals Guidance and wisdom of a wurm veteran Contacts around the world for those with wanderlust People in particular that would be welcome Miners Craftsmen/women Foresters/Foragers/Hunters Terraformers If this rather specialised kind of life sounds good to you drop me a pm on here. We'll arrange something
  4. i find it quite annoying how much damage lamps take off deed even at 50+ quality. about 30 damage in 3 weeks. since wurm is pretty dark at night and lots of noobs run around looking for a spot to settle, having no extra light on the streets is just awful. it is not gonna hurt anyone if the devs could slithly reduce the damage on off deed light sources. i have to spent quite some time imping all those lamps. i can see the increased damage on walls and houses. i am fine with that, but having a nice iluminated area off deed is not the most game breaking feature imo. so pls consider that.. thanks alot. just a humble wurmian
