  1. Hi We noticed that the few settlements keeping champion dogs, are offline a lot, and the dogs are turning venerable. We require a breeding pair (or more!) please.   4. I am looking to Join or form a sermon group on Independence. I am located at 40x 61y on Inde map. (Free Bears) I am an elder there and we have a sermon spot. Current altars available are Vynora, Fo, Mag, Nahjo. Port drake is not built up at all, and seems to be a reserve of sorts, but we have plans of development there, and wanted to chat to you about your plans. Makes it easier for us to move on or hang tight. As for my neighbour, Tranquility Glade (probably the most wild, relaxing place Ive strolled into) - I would like to chat to you about sizing up my land in your direction.   7. Good evening Those who shared a village, home, pleasures and pain with us at our previous settlement, Plattekloof, will remember us for being reserved and generous. In recent times, we have decided to move on, and the Order of the Mare's Nest was found. There are other sources of information on the settlement, so I will keep it short. I have a secondary character on a pvp server, and recently realized how hard it is to start from scratch. Therefore, I would like to use this thread to invite newcomers to our settlement, or large estate if you will. For now, we can only accommodate one person. We are still working very hard to get our personal infrastructure up, still smithing in make-do forges in the mine and getting by without the most basics. However, what we can offer a single person for now is the following: 1. Freedom, we won't ask you for much (perhaps picking a few sprouts now and then, or helping with repairs) 2. Your own section of land for rent (if you can afford 10 or 30 or 50c that is great, if not, we can arrange something easy) 3. Protection from an on-deed rare tower, a second nearby tower and our spirit templar. 4. Free to build your own place inside your personal zone, and do as you please with that area (farm, etc) 5. No invasive behavior. We like living our lives, we won't bug you, or chat all day if you don't like it. 6. Assistance with getting to know the game. If you're NOT a new player, and just want the above perks to live inside a village, BY ALL MEANS, let me know Some rules 1. Permissions will start from minimums, while we all learn to trust each other. This is no biggy, just an initial formality. 2. Even if there is access to someone's bin of gold, does not mean you can have it, likewise we won't touch your personal stuff either 3. If you leave, please hand over the writ. Destroying a building is hard work. 4. Limited land means no wasted time. Please don't join us if you're planning to be around very infrequently or rarely. 5. As time goes, restrictions will lift and more things will come. I have expanded settlement territory before just for villagers. 6. Keep your bin and gate keys safe, we want villagers to be responsible for their own pens and property. We are located north of Dragon Fang mountain, on the coast of the Inner Sea, with a great view.   10. Hi Again, with Meerkatjie disbanding Plattekloof yesterday, we will be giving away the writs to several structures there for free. A donation towards our new supersized settlement would be appreciate though. There are several buildings, fences surrounding the propery, nice gates, a mine, some roads leading down to freedom docks and into the mountain, farming and animal areas. We are happy with just popping the writs, but if someone wants to move in or deed there, it means the buildings we lived in for 2 and a half years, can still keep living. There's a handful of writs for it. Let me know fast, before too much decay sets in, else we'll just go boom on them and clean the area up. I built a multiroom, tower writ for storage and sleeping, a fenced yard, and left a patch for farming there. It's now disbanded, but If anyone new or not, wants the writ to make a life in, you're welcome to it. Failing this, Ill just do a destruct on it.   12. *CLOSED* I founded a deed a few days ago, and decided recently that the location is not suitable for me with respect to where my friends/allies are. It's small, (I will make sure of size) but has access to a mine with decent (30+ ql iron) and on the coast. I build a house with suitable storage areas and a forge. There is a fenced in area for animals, a second structure usable as a lodge or overnighter, and then a section of land for a small farm/cropfield. My plan is to disband this evening, but I thought someone might find a use for it. If not, then we tried. It's a nice place to start from if you're new, but probably too small for anyone looking for massive forestry projects. Some upkeep will be included (2-3 months last time I checked). Size: The size of Windthrow Reserve is 21 by 19. About compasses, Even 60+ql compass settles in a bit over 1 second (the settle in timer on mouse over starts at 2sec eyeblink from turning to 1sec). 70+ql will settle before you gain first stamina tick back at 100% water. 80+ql seem almost like an instant. Getting new compass but its not faster? This happens sometimes, apparently the compass you have picked up/logged in with is remaining as the one game client thinks is the only compass even when you are picking up new compass. Dropping both compasses and picking up only the fast one has been solving this issue most of the time, but sometimes restarting the client has been needed to resolve it. Magranon's Scar is one of the first wonder dedicated to a deity. Yes, in itself an highway isn't really a wonder but when it is made by true believers of Magranon, it becomes alive! Entering by a massive gate (Front & Back), you are on a large highway cut deep into the shoulder of a massive crater, you are looking on your right... then on your left... and all you see is lava coming out of the walls and you have to walk on an unsafe path where creatures are lurking in the shadow of the pouring molten lava, waiting to devour the souls of the unprepared fools. Magranon, God of mountain and fire, creator of lava creatures, has called upon its most dedicated followers to crack open that mountain and let the elements of fire be the proving ground of the braves. Within its entrails, the Inn "The Sleeping Hellhound" will be visited and praised by pilgrims from everywhere in the Freedom Isles. --------------------------------- Who can be a worker on such project? Anyone, we have generic surface mining for low and high skilled miners, digging for average shovel lovers, cutting trees, cleaning up the materials around, cooking, fixing, moral support...   20. Village in northern Indy is looking for more people to live in our village either permanently or to use us as a stepping stone in locating that perfect site for your own deed. Northern Indy is pretty sparsely populated with many areas that would make fine deeds. New or experienced, premium or f2p, all are welcome. Village is located a 3 minute cart ride to Samling Fjord where we have a dock from which you can fish or sail to anywhere on Indy using one of our several ships. We are also members of a fair sized, active alliance with many experienced players. We also have good neighbors in the area who are friendly and helpful. Chances are, if someone doesn't know about it or can't make it, it's unknowable or nonexistant. Is on a large, level, flat plateau with a large, well lit mine which is mostly under-deed. We have 2 guard towers and 1 templar. We are surrounded by uninhabited forests with every tree type imaginable and good hunting. Resources also available nearby are sand, dirt, tar, and clay. Farm plots and pens stocked with livestock such as horses, cows, bison, chickens, and a dog. You can work on animal husbandry or farming or both. Animals are community property which you may ride or use to pull a cart or wagon. A well provisioned cookhouse to serve all your culinary needs is on site. Workshop which is well stocked with forges, anvils, tools, oven, looms, and mats to so you can work on any trade or craft you desire. Combat training range including training dummies and archery targets. Your home will be a 2x3 two story house. This should be adequate as the community has areas for other activities. This is negotiable and will expand in the future. Information, training, and help is available if you are new or don't have the skills to do something that you'd like to do. What we expect from you: Fairly active. We'd like to see you at least a couple times a week. Real life always takes priority however. Friendly and community minded. Don't stay in your house alone all day. We chat, we get along, we help each other, we go out on adventures together and alone. Get along with others. Absolutely no drama. if something is bugging you, don't hold it in, come to me. By the same token as above, have fun. If it's not fun, why are you doing it? We like to have fun. If you want to contribute to village upkeep, you may do so, however much or little you feel. However it is not required. Corpses sold to token the proceeds of which are donated to token are appreciated. We do ask that you try to help replenish the supplies when you can as you go about your day so that we don't run out of an item just when something is needed. With few exceptions, everything in our village is community property and shared freely. Thieves will be butchered and cooked as animal taming food. You will not steal from your fellow villagers, allies, friends, or anyone. If you need it or want it, we can find a way to get it to you. Need coin? We'll help find a way for you to earn it. Also try to take care of the deed, if you see something that needs repairing or can be improved or taken care of, an animal that needs grooming, or a farm plot that is ripe and may turn to weeds if not tended to, if you have the time, take care of it, or let someone know.   21. Hello, my name is Szai and I have been playing Wurm Online now for 10 days along with my girlfriend Afanasyi. I was refraining from making this post because watching Wurm isnt exactly exciting but after the suggestion of multiple viewers I have decided to. I have been a small-time streamer for 10 months or so, mostly streaming Dota2, League of Legends and Archeage plus others. I am somehow having more fun in Wurm than i have in a game in probably a few years and in only 10 days, with the help of people from my stream chat I think im off to a pretty good start. I know not a lot of people stream this game and maybe with good reason, but it is a great game and ive met really nice people from it so far. I cant promise tons of excitement but I do invite anyone curious or bored to stop by and say hi. Its usually pretty laid back and just talking, sometimes we break out some music or funny videos, i usually get a helpful veteran or 2 in chat and you can listen to all the noob questions i ask! I generally stream starting around 2pm EST and go until 5am or so EST. No set in stone schedule but thats typically the case, unless i stay up way too late playing. PS: im sure people will ask.   22. I'm sure at one point or another we've all had those frustrating moments trying to find a specific ore or rock type when mining. Sometimes there are public mines nearby with the resources you need, and sometimes there aren't. Sometimes there are people online who can point you in the right direction, and sometimes there aren't. This thread is designed to gather information from players to create a public mining resource map. If you live near a public mine, have created a public mine, or know of the whereabouts of a public mine, please do share that info here. Just like with the community map I ask that you try to pinpoint the location of the public mine and display it as if you were adding a deed to the registry. Along with that info please share what ore types and rock types there are. The resources available are: Iron Copper Silver Gold Lead Zinc Tin Marble Slate Also, and this is just extra, notify if this mine is mostly submerged or above water level. Do NOT share any info regarding private mines. ONLY share info pertaining to public access mines. Hopefully we'll get some good info coming in and I'll be able to make a map fairly soon. Thank you!
