  2. Selling affinity meals of your choice! HOW THIS WORKS: We send you 2 sample meals, you taste (using the taste option in the rightclick menu) both and tell me which one gives you what affinity and send them back. Tasting those 2 meals is only required once per character, after this we can always prepare the correct meal for the affinity of your choice. If you need the same affinity for 2 different characters, they will have to do the tasting separately and will most likely require 2 separate meals as each toon is different. Based on those 2 samples, we can prepare meals which are about 4kg in weight and 85-ish quality. This means that if you want Tailoring affinity, we will send you a meal which will give you 4hour+ of Tailoring affinity after first bite! Don't eat it all, just choose "eat" and hit escape right away, one bite of 0.03kg in size will give 4h+ affinity time and 100% CCFP, if you have a magic chest, it will last you over a year assuming 4h/day, otherwise it will pretty much decay before you can use up the hours it gives. This amazing deal which is not offered by anyone else will cost 1 silver per meal. There is an exception to this, some characters are "bugged" and they can't have affinity from meals by this recipe for the 20 skills below, we will know if your toon is one of those after you taste the 2 samples as well and will let you know. If your character is one of those affected by this, we can't prepare the following affinities for you and there is nothing we can do about it, some toons have affinities distributed weird. 20 skills out of 138 are affected: channeling, exorcizm, artifacts, foraging, botanizing, climbing, stone cutting, lock picking, stealing, traps, catapults, animal taming, animal husbandry, short bow, long bow, med. Bow, ship building, ballistae, trebuchets, turrets. We can still prepare the remaining 118 affinity meals for the affected toons. STEP BY STEP GUIDE

  4. I am not sure if it exists yet...but there should be a "Fantastic Recipe: Stone Soup". Atfer the story of the 3 soldiers who came to a town and got the village to help make a soup from a stone. You would need three people to make it in a cauldron. It would start with a stone or marble ..."stone" (even of a certain more/less kg) with three people in attendance to start the recipe. You would then continue on the one or all three people to add the normal base of water, potatoes, carrots, and an onion then or more herbs/milk/honey to finish the recipe. I would like see this in honor of the gift of giving...maybe allow a +5 to one or more characteristics or such...determined by Wurm. Please.

  10. The cooking arena awaits! Hi everyone! Today marks the one year anniversary since the launch of Wurm Unlimited, and what a year it's been! Wurm Unlimited has brought many things to the game, giving players even greater control over their experience, and we've seen some pretty awesome things from it. It's also given us the opportunity to Identify where we need to improve, and we're making that a major focus in our future plans, both in PvE and PvP. We're keen to see where the next year takes Wurm Unlimited, and what people do with their servers. Wurmpedia changes Some might have seen a few small pages removed as we focus on making sure the information in there is as accurate and complete. This affects mostly outdated guides and roleplaying style pages. We're looking at our options to allow players to update roleplaying style pages (with their own stories about events and items) in the future, but for now please be sure to use player and settlement namespaces or the creative commons on the forum for them. Unstable client We've had some excellent reports about issues on the unstable client and we continue to need them! Please do load up the unstable client and play for a little bit, we're on the lookout for major performance issues and crashes, as well as simply failing to load. The random disconnect issue still exists, so you do not have to play it for long, just to be sure that it does run on your pc. Oddities such as shadows and such will be addressed in future updates, but we need to be sure that it runs for all players first. Cooking testing! This weekend we'll be launching public testing of the cooking and food part of the 1.3 update! We're currently in the process of ensuring it all runs smoothly on the new test server, and will open the gates to testing on Tomorrow (Saturday!) at uh, this time: We'll have a thread up then, a small survey, and like last time, some prizes for those who take part! Map dumps We've decided to set a date for the release of the map dumps to coincide with the release 1.3. It's a little later than we originally planned, but we feel it works well with the marking of a new update. We'll have them available for viewing online and download (I'll even arrange a torrent for a short period of time). Feature or bug? A question was raised regarding logout timers on Chaos being 5 minutes within enemy presence, and whether it was intended to be so, or 1 hour like on Epic. The answer is, well, a bit of both! While it's not a bug per se, we will look at the logout timers and make them the same across both clusters when in enemy presence. If you have a question about a feature, or wondering if something is a bug, feel free to ask in this thread! I'll do my best to get answers from the dev team. Community Content- Smeagain Ascending Today saw the ascension of Smeagain to demigod on Epic! Will she survive long enough to be our first player Goddess? We'd like to congratulate her, and we're excited to see how it goes! That's it for this week, I hope to see you all tomorrow at the testing of our new cooking system! Next week I'll have some stories to tell, maybe even some old stories about special resources from faraway planets and their properties.... Until then though, keep on Wurming! Retrograde & the Wurm team.

I love my IRL copper cookware. It heats more evenly than iron. It doesn't really need a bonus but it would be cool to have copper pans and such.
  15. Please reduce the strength of the random factor in the converting of maple sap to maple syrup. There appears to be a lower limit of q20 which many players hit when they cook higher q sap and get q20 syrup. In my opinion, if a lower limit cap is needed then the randomness must be excessive. Natural variations are good in the game. These seem unnatural. With Q of the raw product, HFC and Cooking skills, quality of the container additional randomness should be limited to a small percentage variation.
  16. I am on Xanadu and after making a regular chocolate cake turned into this was wondering if this is a normal thing or is this a bug which was suggested in help window. Zombified Clotted chocolate cake
  17. I've noticed more and more people asking "What did you cook this with?" and was wondering how complicated it would be to remember all this stuff after you make it the first time.. and I'm sure many would agree that a reverse lore option for cooked foods would be amazing to have, of course there should be a downside to it also, maybe food taking damage or getting destroyed would both be fine imo. I'd like to see what others think about this
  18. Edit: As requested, for the moment this project will be offset, for some weeks or more. Will get back at it when a bit of time has passed from the patch. Edit #2: I'll make it more clear: If you are looking for a specific recipe you can PM me with a request to see if i have it, you can also PM me about for having the whole list (which is still small atm, since nobody ever shared anything anymore in PM me since the thread got stopped) I think pming me for a list is spoiler-safe enough. If you ask for a recipe, or for the list, would be great if you could share yours too : D yeah, we still need your help as right now the list isn't growing. When the "ban" will be lifted i will paste them all here.
  19. I can't cook the recipe 'billy sheep gruff stew' since neither veggies or meat can be placed in a open helmet
  20. When cooking Steak and Fries I had the unusual behaviour of producing primarily 20ql meals despite using 60ql steak, 99ql fries in an 80ql frying pan in a 60ql oven with my 94 HFC skill. After some back in forth in the CA Help channel we determined that my specific method of cooking it caused it. I would put the filets and raw fries in the pan, then drag the steak and cooked fries into the oven to keep warm while I cooked the next batch of sub-ingredients. Since these items had never been in my inventory, when I later drag them into the pan they don't have my identity on them, so won't use my HFC skill. I can of course avoid this by dragging them to my inventory at any point, but I wonder if this is intended behaviour.
  21. So what we need is a backpack insulated with moss and lined in silver to keep our meals at the perfect temperature when we are out and about traveling around.
  22. Would it be possible to have ingredients searchable in the cooking gui like they are in the crafting one? IE type in "milk" and all recipes that include milk are shown.
  23. After introducing a non-damage status for honey this cooking ingredient don't heat up while cooking. It's impossible now to make any recipe with content of honey: for example any other ingredient is hot or boiling in the same dish.
