  1. Frontier

The old Frontier has been the largest deed on Indy - people said so. When I started several years ago the whole forest was deeded and in the middle they had penned the troll king, fenced in between some rings of stonewalls. Remember when a bunch of people lured him through the forests, exciting times, long ago. He could escape one day, btw ... Really wish you good luck with your deed, Yetian, not sure what you want to hunt here. We have sometimes a troll, mostly wolves, sheep or bulls around and every now an then a hen
  2. Indeed, chickens are very mysterious! Holding hens since ages, sitting in their own pens on grass. I drop potatoes, corn, sometimes grains on each tile, high ql, don't have others. If they stay fat, they'll give me eggs more or less. The chance for getting baby-chicks is very rare, from up to 30 eggs may hatch 1 with much luck. Most eggs go poof before a chick arrives. And most hens will die when getting aged, laying a last egg with their last breath. One is ven and cared for, was the first hen i got ages ago, (a traitor-traitor ) and still giving me an egg every now and then. Guess there are too many hens/eggs ingame atm , atleast I'll find 1-2 hens around our deeds every week. not counting the roosters.
  3. Really not sure what to think about all of this uproar. Generally I love the idea to have some more variations in cooking. Surely there will be some freaks using it, I'll try out some of them. The thing I don't understand, why making such an effort with counting out every little skillbonus - does it really effect the way/style of playing this game? Isn't it overvalued? And isn't the refresh in PoL overvalued by people, too? You can use it once a day, it will not last very long then you have to fill your body with a meal again. It's nice to have, when you're far away from home/a cook and can get your body to well nurished ... or you're climbing a mountain and run out of stam... I think, let them people cook, give them the ability to use new compositions but let cooking be a skill like some others which are nice but not such important to get them highest. And let refreshing what it is, nice to have but not really vitally important. You can survive without this both in wurm, believe me. Me am a meanwhile high skilled player, PoK btw, without refreshing, highest ql food, rare and best enchanted tools I got my skills up. And I had nut 60-65 for years, now I get it to 89 max, if I have meals 80+ql. And sometimes when I am happy finding a rare sprout or something , I am happy and running to sacc it. Why making it all more complicated as necessary, isn't Wurm tangled enough? Aren't we playing it for fun ?
  4. Have mined out all collapsed tiles in Kinoss Canal. Big ships can pass through again , until the next cave ins ...
  5. ++1 Unfortunately this had been removed some years ago. It would be really important as a new/free player to be able using large cart.
  6. RIP Schwanke :/

Can't say how sad i am feeling. words fail me. We all knew about his illnesses but ever hoped we'll get him back soon. As Scott said, this game wouldn't be the same without Schwanke. he has been someone special. Fare well, David, hope you found a better world now. Missing you, Gerda
  7. Really a good update! And now give them new players also a sickle and all is fine .... and finally split the code for pvp/pve so the epic-people can calm down
  8. We have snow inside the houses because we don't have window panes yet . No way to avoid this.
  9. I'll try to be there with Zorsson, not as fighter or for any loot. would like to have a look at the uniques. Thanks
  10. Hi, I remember 'The Place' very well! It has fallen down in 2/2012 and we put a deed there, called Oaky Doaky. You'll find it on Indy map at 21x 40y, where Bonsai is since long time. It was a really nice deed in the middle of a maple forest with some oak trees, a public well and a troll spawn in the middle of the road.
  11. Awesome - big thank you for this and sharing it! And yes, please can we have pinned it Now have to do a lot of things i've never seen before ...
  12. First let me say: very big 'Thank you Marni!' And thanks to all who will post here with helpful insights My question about rope bridges: Would a Fo priest be able to plan a rope bridge? Could someone continue it without high ropemaking skill?
  13. The basical steps I've learned by going through the tutorial. That "old" tutorial, where you had to do small missions to move on. And while staying a few month on GV I've learned really much about the game. With this basical knowlegde the start with a new char on Indy was hard but not impossible. And of course, with helpful people around and the wiki. Playing 4+ years
