  1. I will definitely be there. One of my favorite impalongs that I look forward to every year. Mark me confirmed for staff.
  2. It is correct. GL-Freedom is both NFI and SFI servers. +100 to this. I have always thought the chat name tabs could be rather confusing to some players.
  3. [19:44:53] The items silently disappear from the spirit castle. You expect them to reach Benjames in less than ten minutes. Sent! Thank you
  4. Yes I would buy a lot of these. I have a few LMCs I would probably buy 5 or 6 of these with either silver or marks. *smalls credit card down on table*
  5. Just got home from work. So sorry for the late response. Congrats! Who shall I CoD it to?
  6. [11:40:56] This looks like the collar bone from some animal. These are said to provide luck. This is a very rare and interesting version of the item. Rare Strange Bone Starting Bid: 35s Increment: 50c Buyout: Possibly PM me
  7. That’s actually not 100% true. Being part of the team that helped design and rebuild The Howl on Independence many years ago when we did the starter deed redesign contest, if everyone remember that. The materials were spawned in for us but everything was truly built by hand. Even the forged and bsb’s. I believe the only things that where spawned in was the boat art instillation. I think the idea of starter towns is very interesting. While I do think there should be a way to stop players from destroying the deed, I believe when the starter towns where redesigned we designed them in such a way that shouldn’t be cut down or dug up. I can’t remember which one but there’s a starter deed on Xanadu that is entirely lawn which prohibits trees even growing on the deed so the player would be forced to go off deed anyways. So I can totally see how the way it is currently is good enough. Allowing permissions on deed would end up a mess I think. Like it was pointed out, the public forges are still accessible. Which are a good way for newer players to go mine their own materials, in any of the many mines around a starter town, and craft their own tools.
  8. Moved to Suggestions & Ideas

  10. @StoickJesterand I teamed up to create this little romantic dinner setting.
  11. I tend to sport a very stunning Ox Blood Red dyed white drake suit with a matching staff. Along with my bunny ears, I enjoy a statement look.
  12. This is one of my favorite yearly events in our little world of Wurm. I look forward to it every year and make an effort to show up. I will definitely be there as always, slaving away over the forges. As always I would also love to assist as staff and lend a hand to refueling forges and restocking supplies. Looking forward to seeing all the usual people and getting to meet hopefully some new faces.
  13. RIP Aaedean

Wow. I have run into Aaedean many times in my years of Wurm. He was always willing to lend a hand and, as many people have said, always with a smile on his face. The game has truly lost a valued member of the community. Sometimes we forget there are actual people on these other side of these user names and it is heartwarming to know someone can have such a powerful impact on a community. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family in their time of grieving and I hope they can rest even a bit easier knowing his name will continue to live on here in perpetuity.
  14. That’s amazing to hear! Seeing as most of my current deed is underground I am excited for the lamps.
  15. I believe the point is that if I am looking at the crafting recipe and I see it says I can start it with a plank and a wheel axle, then I should be able to grab a plank and a wheel axle in the world and build it. If it's not craft-able, it shouldn't be in the crafting recipes. I had the same thought when I saw it was in the crafting recipes.
  16. Oh my gosh!! This is such a cool event. Super excited about the sled and will definitely be taking advantage of the 10%.
  17. I deleted both of these lines, seeing as foraging and botanizing has been moved to nodes as well as snow. Thoughts on a comment that the tile doesn't change in winter seasons? Not only does it not amass snow, the tile itself doesn't change to snow.
  18. May is a great time of year to be having this. If I can give some recommendations, take a look at some of the other impalong threads in years past. Maybe talk to some other people who have hosted impalongs. As someone who has hosted an impalong on SFI and been on staff at a number of impalongs over the years, there is A LOT of prep that goes into events such as this. Not just building the buildings, but collecting supplies, designing and building a number of games to keep people interested, and collecting prizes to give people an incentive to come other than to get their items improved. From the looks of it you have accomplished part of this prep, however, you also can’t rely on other people to assist in this prep. You should be able to collect all the materials and design and finance all the games. As great as this community is, it is integral to collect the materials yourself and supplement with donations. If I can also give some unsolicited organizational advice. Your OP isn’t that organized and doesn’t give a lot of information on the impalong itself, such as location, events/games, the deed layout, etc. Again, take a look at some of the previous years impalongs (I’ll link some good threads below) and take a bit of inspiration from those posts. Formatting yours in an easy to read way that flows will increase the amount of people that show up. Feel free to hit me up if you would like to discuss more. I would be happy to consult on your project. I am passionate about impalongs and the value they bring to the community, when done correctly. These are two long running impalongs both in their 6th and 4th consecutive years respectively. You can garner a lot of inspiration from these two successful events that have hundreds of people in attendance every year.
  19. Just wanted to give an update on this. @Zalxisis working on the books. They will go to @Kswordsnext.
  20. I love this idea. I’ll have to reach out and get one set up on release.
  21. Solid bump on this thread. I have been doing a lot of work in the mine at a new deed project. Here is some updates. The structures are designed to look like multi level living. Each level is accessible from the outside and they operate independently of each other. There will be shops and decorative housing (non functional) on all the levels to give it more of a lived in feel. I want there to be creatively placed clutter around with chairs outside and patio set ups. I am also working on creative placement of multiple boats in the harbor to make it look more lived in. Images edited for brightness, I haven't worked on lighting issues.
