  1. 3x shovel, 3x carving knife, 3x saw please. Mail to same name.
  2. Bought some plate armor imps. Was done quickly. Would recommend.
  3. Extended the auction until Sunday and lowered the starting bid a bit.

  5. Yes it is typical for most mmo but up to now we had no need to include it. @McDaniel IMO there's a large difference between "most" and "all". I'd agree with this update 100%... if it wasn't for the "or for no reason at all" part.
  6. The United Kingdom

I'd think such statements only make their wish to be independent stronger...
  7. The United Kingdom

Isn't that statement only an opinion just as well? I'd call trying to preserve ones culture rather rational. If by "more beneficial" you mean the financial side, I wouldn't put a price tag on my identity.
  8. Bye Bob, sad to see you going. Good luck and take care. Hope to see you in Epic then.
  9. To leave this one within the forum rules, let's keep this thread clear from particular names and cases and any kinds of direct accusations. Rather make it a discussion about cheating and punishments in general. I'll leave my own take on this short and just let the genie out of the bottle. I believe there should be zero tolerance towards any kind of cheating. Punishments should be clear from any kind of bias. I don't see much larger future for Wurm without those things.
  10. Doughboy

    Sounds good to me.
  11. Doughboy

It's a dead horse getting beaten, but still dead horses don't fit under a carpet. I agree it shouldn't be left like this. I'd rather play a game without sounds than one that lets cheaters get away. Morals outweigh materialism. And as Fogshark said that others cheated the same way, that isn't a proper excuse.. they deserve a punishment as well then.
  12. A friend of mine was once banned for macros. What did he gain? - a couple points in mining What did he lose? - his account and everything, he got what he deserved What did Doughboy gain? - everything What did he lose? - nothing That is all.
  13. How about infinite lives, but make them unable to respawn for maybe 2 or 3 months after a death, perhaps forgive the first death. In a game everything should be able to be remade/regained. However still I'd prefer removing them altogether. The way I see it, they're not fun to fight against for non-champs and stressful to play as champs for the risk involved.
  14. Freedom griefing

There's a fine line between freedom and anarchy it seems. Maybe the server could use a name change. In "wild" there's at least the power of players keeping things in check by force in kingdoms internaly, not much hope for such thing in Freedom.
  15. My opinions so far: - To be realistic the sounds seem to lose their volume too slowly. Far from the action it can still sound like its near you. However I'd actually prefer it that way, no need to be perfectly realistic in a game. - IMO the new fight icons could be a bit less "colourful". I'd prefer a more darker and rusty look, think it fits Wurm's style better. - The new fight sounds are a large improvement over the last i think. - Nice to finally have female sounds, quite good ones in fact. - Ambient sounds: couldn't be better. Love the way the wind blows in the steppe and the mood in a cave. Good work!
  16. Now what kind of good can this action do ? You have just made the situation worse, and you not only done that... you have basicly confessed to griefing other players. Again cant even see a glimse of good in what you have done. Yes they did something that you and many other consider griefing BUT since deeds are realy cheap these days why does anyone do work on an area without a deed ? And if you want to do work on an area without a deed build a house or two so you can atleast semiclaim the area as no one else can place a deed as long you have the houses there. What I did was confess to griefing griefers. Of course I could have just joined the endless talk about griefing on the forums, but sometimes they need a little taste of their own medicine. If anyone thinks I like the situation I've put myself into, think again. But when people around me are being mistreated I feel i have to take action, and i know many others feel the same way. Now I have returned everything I took from the mine and its chests into a nice pile at Brotunheimr entrance and removed my gatehouse from the front of the mine. When it gets out of hand again then well, I agree with Bob's idea. I just hope the area can be peaceful again. The new rules are a good sign for that happening.
  17. Call me what you want, i will stand my ground. The sad thing is, it's not the griefers protecting their actions. More often when there's talk about griefing there will be a bunch of elitists/deed owners talking about how its fair game to do this and that, counting the rules without giving a thought to the human factor. Of course, i know perfectly well what I'm doing is griefing. But that's not according to the rulebook that Freedom follows with pinpoint accuracy. That's what I'm trying to draw attention to. What i suggest to all the players on Freedom is to stand up for yourselves. Take the fight to the griefer. If we take it far enough, there will be no other way than to improve the rules. As for the Bro mine: I'll offer a way out - return all the stolen boats that you have stashed in your sheds to their rightful owners, return Syna her construction site and make a common apology to all the players you have griefed. I shall then make an apology to you for the griefing I've caused to you today. And return the mine of course. Here's me being optimistic.
  18. I got a counter offer to the Bros. Recently found an abandoned mine near the Brotunheimr deed, very convenient location for you. Very nice for mining action. I'm willing to trade this wonderful spot for the area Syna was preparing, or for a modest price of 5g. Some shots to show the area: Also, that's not all folks: for you only, bonus items come with the trade - receive these wonderful items recovered from the mine:
  19. Little mistake here, should be 256km² and 16km².
  20. I imagine a good amount of people are in a position where they are a citizen in a village and also have a place of their own outside of the village borders. It would be great to be able to deed those, similar to how the homestead deeds were.
