  1. Since lead is best for bashing damage I assume 'shield bashing' also qualifies as 'bashing' making lead the best material for shield bashing. yes?
  2. thanks, your reponse validates what I read. It just seems to take forever because I have yet for it to change into roasted. also, I am confused as to if the Unlimited version has plantable Cacao plants or not. There is not an option to plant in a planter like there is for my herbs.
  3. I can not figure out how to make either of these. I see that my recipe has the items so I know its Wurm Unlimited. Chocolate: cocoa bean in roasting dish (pottery) cooking for ages..nothing. pork: fried pork if cooked. clueless edit: bacon: filet of pork, salt (not cooked combined)
  4. ok, that was plan B. I have skill gain already high, but yeah I might just make that account a GM
  5. For my personal and solo server I dont want to bother with 'multiboxing' alts to have a sermon. Is it realistic for my alt to get good levels without ever doing a sermon?
  6. ah yes good point, sorry I was distracted. I would add 'popup' for silly people like me
  7. I would add to the wiki the following 'a window pops up with a list of paths to select in which you select from the popup' For some reason I was concerned that I would have to type in the selection into the chat box. thanks
  8. what I am asking is how does one FUNCTIONALLY select that path? it is it a popup? type into chat? There is plenty of information as to how one gets to the point of needing to select a path and what the paths are but I could not find any informaton or screenshot that shows how one functionally selects that path, be it a pop up, slash command type into chat or what
  9. I am confused by 'then you select a path' and 'answer questions' by that I mean, do I watch the events window and then type something in? does a popup come up? I am unclear.
  10. 1. where is the main place to find mods? 2. I am surprised I have not seen any texture changes to the world itself. I am thinking specifically of sci fi, so odd trees etc. 3. is the wurm launcher the same for online as unlimited? is there any conflict with that? I would not be running my unlimited server at the same time I am playing online (well maybe but I dont mind not).
  11. 1. My old brain is telling me that I heard treasure chests are not part of Unlimited Creative, is that correct? 2. Is it true that on Unlimited specifically you can make bridges solo? 3. Is it also true that if I wanted, I could (with some file and folder editing) create third personal server using a different map for creative (thus 2 creatives and 1 adventure? or is it one create, one adventure..peroid.
  12. thanks, that is what I assumed regarding randomizing. good to know not to kill all of one type. I also think I read you can tell if a new spawn has happened if there is damage to the hive. I know where my scorpion hive is, its currently 0 damage
  13. questions 1. Is it correct that mobs (hostile and not) do not naturally 'breed' or slowly increase in population over time but rather only spawn as a replacement for mobs killed or dead from natural death. Thus, keeping the server mob counts at a specific level. 2. I assume that if I go out and kill a bunch of hostiles that new hostiles will be spawned to match my % number of hostiles on the server? 3. Do I need to keep my server running in order for that to happen, or does it happen automatically on restart? The core problem/concern: I have my mob % at 10% which is actually where I like it (although I might move it up to 15%). My concen howeever is that if my understanding is incorrect I might kill reduce my hostiles even more (by killing) and it might not return. scorpions is the main issue, I want to make bridges.
  14. The above information has solved my issue: For others here is a detailed breakdown (For Windows). 1. go to Windows icon and in the search bar type in CMD 2. This should bring up a dos like console window 3. type in Ipconfig /all 4. find an IP that should say (preferred) next to it which for me is the 'IPV4 Address' 5. Open up the Wurm Unlimited Dedicated Server app which is likely on your desktop 6. go to 'Local Server' Tab 7. within the 'Local Server' Table find the '1. Server Settings' 8. within that section of '1. Server Settings' find 'Server External IP Address and put in the address from step 4 9. Go to the next section labeled '2. Advance Server Settings' put in the same address from step 4 into 'Server Internal IP Address' I think that is it. now if ones system is having other issues and or other things need to be set clearly such items are not listed here.
  15. Thanks I will try that tonight. do I need to change the port number as when a dynamic IP changes (assuming that a dynamic IP change is in fact my root issue)
