  1. The area around that guard tower is pretty much done, more dirt is needed to finish the job. Lawurm and I have gone back to Exodus, having done a pretty significant bit of work on the Steppe. Someone else's turn to "step up" and get er done!
  2. He was unsuccessful dragging me away from my forge, but I did move an alt (Jaymon) over there to help out. We started last night, cutting some trees and digging the "man-made" flat areas to make them sloped.
  3. Worst part is being his neighbor, listening to him hammering his bed all night. Ugh didn't see the date. Sorry for the necro.
  4. That's come up 12 times so far in this thread. My "Forum QL" has improved by 12 already!
  5. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! I ignored Avilio and Creed1, I assume it's the same person since they're both incomprehensible whiners and post in the same threads.
  6. I think Avilio can only post negative things. He's one of those people who only knows how to complain. When the servers are up, he'll complain about losses. When that's solved, he'll complain about lag. When that's solved, he'll complain about something else. Complain, complain, complain, what an annoyance and a downer. Worst part of this whole weekend has been his annoying posts, where he repeats the same incomprehensible BS in every thread, multiple times. That's called SPAM. Is there a way for me to block him so I don't see his annoying whining? The support I've seen for the dev team is great. Yeah, it sucks not being able to play, but you really get to see how great most of the community is. If this were a bigger MMO and you could get skills to 100 in two days, every thread would be full of Avilios. Fortunately this type of game filters out that kind of person, and the ones left are helpful and a real pleasure to game with. To all the people who've stayed positive throughout this trial, I salute you. You know it's just a game (an awesome game), and what matters is the community. Life goes on, and so will Wurm.
  7. You sir, are awesome. Thank you for your hard work. Thank you for the compensation, it's quite generous. Looking forward to feeding my addiction again. Hope you get a chance to sleep this week.
  8. Log off and on again to see if I'm dreaming.
  9. I am needing a Wurm fix so badly! I'm wild-eyed, shaky, and have been stabbing my floor with a shovel. I used a mallet and a file on my kitchen table. My fireplace is wrecked. I knocked out three walls in my house. I have a barrel of fresh meals that's beginning to stink. Don't even ask about my poor horses. Rolf, man, feed my addiction!
  10. Just follow a wurm around, Timothy, you can pull armor out of it's steamy piles of manure. Wurms eat warriors, but their digestion doesn't handle metal armor very well. People who fight wurms are not being eco-friendly - the armor can get lodged in the throat of a pregnant wurm, killing it and preventing the next litter of human-hungry hatchlings from being born! Warriors! Please use leather armor when fighting wurms! THINK OF THE WURMLINGS!
  11. You just described me lol. Just a sec, checking the launcher... ok back to finish this post. I too am curious about the name. I tell my friends about the game, and they keep asking about the significance of worms in the game. "There are no worms in the game." "Then why is it called Worm?" "It's Wurm not Worm!" "Well what's that mean!?!" "I DUNNO I JUST PLAY THE GAME!" "It's a dumb name." "Whatever, I'm gonna go grind my digging skill." "Digging for worms?" NERD RAGE!
  12. I got in my backhoe and dug up my yard, and then I cut down a bunch of trees, and then made a cart. Next I'm gonna build a fence around my neighbor's house and not make a gate.
  13. Assuming you're JoliB from YT, why do you make videos for others to watch? At the risk of making another assumption, I think it's the same reason as many of us - the desire to help or entertain others is fulfilling. Livestream provides the means for live feedback and interaction rather than less personal comments on your videos. It's like live TV versus a prerecorded show, you can gauge what your audience wants or doesn't want. I'm HITMAN82 on YT in case you're wondering, fairly new to recording but have been recording a co-op Farm Sim 2013 series with another player for a while now. I was planning to record some Wurm vids this weekend but that hasn't panned out too well. Oh well, more time to watch the rest of yours.
  14. I've seen several references to common law today. Is this applicable in a Swedish court of law? Swedish lawyer-speak would be completely incomprehensible to me, so Googling the answer is useless. Not trolling or anything, just curious. Here in Canada, if the server were in Quebec and the player were elsewhere, I don't think the common law system would not apply as that province uses civil law (the rest of the provinces practice common law). Just wondering if the people bandying the phrase about were Swedish law students or simply bored, ignorant players like me. On the topic of compensation, I'm happy to see a reimbursement of premium time lost and a freeze on the servers. If I'd not been reimbursed I'd have been disappointed, but wouldn't have had a fit here. It may have had some impact on my re-subbing, but doubtful since I'm now totally addicted to Wurm. I'm sure Rolf and the rest of the team are losing sleep over all this (as I'm gaining it from not being able to play!), I can empathize with them as I'm an ex-sysop for a school district. Seemed like every single user contacted me to tell me when the internet was down, and when would I fix it, as if I had some control over that. If there's an affordable ISP out there with zero-down time and 100% safe from DDOS attacks, it'd be great to know of them. There I go rambling off-topic again, time to kill some zombies, have a fun night all.
