Eckin, sorry but it seems to me that 5 PVP servers, with 3 different settings/systems is hardly neglecting the PVP community.

Seems to me that no matter what the devs did, and would do will make this part of the game players happy.

if you take your time, and read their forums , you could see that there many reasons that have nothing to do with the devs, and much to do with themselves, the reason their servers are dead.

but yes, we live in that era where no one takes responsibility for their actions , and always blame someone else for the consequences.

I could quote all of them, but is not worth the effort.

Honestly agree with this as it was my personal experience.  PvP by nature is confrontational and in my work role as leadership I’m finding more and more people, and especially the younger gen, can’t handle it.  They are socially ackward to begin with and shy away from player combat and experiences where the perspective doesn’t fit their narrative.  The result is player bashing, GM calls, griefing beyond what should be considered normal to accomplish a set task, and outright hatred.  The fear of being griefed alone fends most potential soldier candidates away.

Look at 10 years ago when pvp was beginning to decline and what was going on in the world with all the woke crap that’s now surfaced, it was just starting back then.  It’s just made people, especially the younger crowd that’s started wurm in the last 5-10 years, more sensitive.  My 10yr old cries on the bus when boys are telling mom so fat jokes, prime example.

To fix pvp we don’t need more servers or devs input, it’s out of their hands… you need tougher more emotionally mature players and atm that’s not going to happen.  Need people that have the mental fortitude to realize it’s a video game and at the end of their life no one remembers their accomplishments as compared to what they did or not irl.  This is why I have almost stopped playing, I’m wasting my life sitting in a chair and burning money for nothing, pvp nor pve can fix this one for me.  At the end of the day your horse and rare shovel are worthless so get out there, grow up, put on your chain mail and fight the infidel and JUST HAVE FUN.

  2. Unless it  has some pvp application or is just a skin I really don't see the advantage or appeal.  I mean, even as a skin for a large cart it's weird since how would a chariot hold 3 large crates?

Don't think it's needed.. it's fast mechanic to throw gear at your mount but when it comes to player trades, wurm still needs to open the old annoying window with "I give you this" - "you give me that", I confirm, you confirm.. trade's done..

Unless, situation/s where starting a trade between 2 players often exists?..

If it's about alts and trading anything around.. it's always faster to drop and pickup the item, normally, you skip the open a window, drag an item, confirm, confirm.

What I'm suggesting here is it just opens the trade window with the item you dragged already in it.  No auto trading.

  4. An easier solution would be to look at nature in real life and create the balanced equation from that. The taller, and thus generally thicker, grass in real life is the lesser chance trees and other sapling based rooted plants will spread.

    Current Spread Rate = X

    Grass Tile height (Short-100, Tall-75, WIld-50) = Y

    Effective Spread Rate = X * (Y/100)

By that silly formula, short grass allows normal spread rates, tall grass cuts spread rates by 25%, and Wild height grass cuts spread rates by 50%.

Factor in whatever else WUrm math does and maybe seasonal impact to further increase or reduce spread rates.

    Just my 2cents

  5. Actually best idea, remove restrictions on all deed permission nodes.  Keep the colors so people are reminded their important/sensitive.  This is an easy one unless there's some hardcoded stuff we don't see that would make for messy problems.

  6. Nice but I'm worried, you all still haven't fixed my keybinds getting randomly unbound for years now... my post about it has been lost in time.  Now I'll have multiple binds being lost.  I just don't have a lot of faith, please prove me wrong.
