  1. Still no word, the magic folks seem to have all given up hope.
  2. Can we have that backdated for the heal and LoF changes please?
  3. Honestly, and this one is going to be unpopular with the vocal population, but it seems to be murmered a lot among folks who just play the game... Split the code between chaos and freedom; we don't want their nerfs, they don't want our QoL. That way, the rest of freedom can have all the nice things without the cries of "PvP balance", and PvP can have it's balance without PvE folks screaming "but lack of QoL kills player population". While you're at it, remove player god priests, they're just broken and destroyed the game for priest players. Everyone wins, yes it slows down development of new features, but it means that when a feature is added the community is likely to react to it in a more positive light.
  4. But why would they have them bash mine doors then?
  5. One could interpret dragons "properly bashing mine doors" to mean that penning a dragon underground is not an intended mechanic? It certainly seems a little like abusing a bug (the inability of uniques to tunnel).
  6. Personally, I always thought a points system would be better. The only thing to avoid then would be alt abuse. You go to a dragon killing, dragon dies. Everyone gets some blood If you were fighting it, or had landed a blow, or healed someone who landed a blow, you get a point. If you contribute over 10% in damage, you get an extra point. (* could be problematic, but still could work out?) If you land the final blow, you get an extra 3 points. (so the maximum points one can get is 5 from one slaying if one is heavily involved) Butchering the dragon gives a ton of dragon meat, and various glands/organs. It also gives a buff to everyone in local based on the unique slain. Points can be cashed in at spawn towns; the various drops costing a certain number of a points. Attend 30-50 (or 6-10 with maximum participation) slayings, you should be looking at enough hide (or scale) for a full armour set, or a ONE CHARGE tome. Nice and easy, everyone wins, slayings can be nice and public again.
  7. "Wurmian Affiliates" Nice and formal, makes it sound like a professional dev reaching out to increase their business.
  8. *If* I re-preme (unlikely unless new priest content is announced in the next news), I'll be there for casts (Fo Priest, 80+ channeling [just a little over 80 mind]).
  9. +1 for PvE only
  10. On the one hand, it would be a horrible kick in the teeth to folks who stuck around as priests (bad) On the other hand, it would a horrible kick in the teeth to greedy mercentile whales (good)
  11. What you essentially end up with is a series of classes based on whichever god you worship; i.e. a ton of Nahjo characters and the odd Vynora/Paa character.
  12. That works well in theory, but you would need a method for priests to skill that isn't just based on creation ticks. Otherwise, you'd still see a crafter priesting for a few weeks being more powerful than a priest who has eked it out for years.
  13. Something like this in the vein of "kingdom/alliance technologies" might work well; especially if doing so gave a solid and worthwhile buff.
  14. As long as this extra trait vanishes when the horse leaves a PvP server? +1
  15. There really does need to be a big * next to my PvE saying "actual priest content, not geared towards pet alts"
  16. +1 Never done a colour rune because wurm already has enough praying to rngsus
  17. That's roughly the same number (if not more) as WO XD
  18. Can't say I'd use it; and it may fragment an already fragmented community further. If it had some link in to the official forums, or was well advertised, that may go a fair distance to helping? But unless it outright replaced the forum/global trade? I doubt it would be worth it at this point.
  19. I dunno, I suspect it's about on par with a few thousand, which in WO terms is large enough!
  20. [20:23:03] You entered through the portal to Wurm on day of Tears, week 3 of the starfall of Omens, 1030. That's 1855 days and 1 minute ago. It's been a while; shame really. [20:23:03] You have been premium consecutively for 0 months since Dec 2013.
  21. A better notion would be to make the alchemist's cupboard actually useful for alchemists: Add in a small BSB used for storing "reagents" (animal parts, herbs, items used in dyes) Add in a box for storing healing covers (no decay) Add in a resevoir so an alchemist can store some water in there (20kg?) Allow users to attach a measuring cup to the table (and forever link it to the table decaywise) Allow users to rename vials, and prevent all decay in them (they're small enough)
  22. The crux of the matter is that everything that would resolve an economic issue would create a new QoL issue; and wurm's player base is just too low to deal with QoL issues. The phrase "death spiral" springs to mind.
  23. Reed tiles are known to spread over time, but what are the rules governing that spread? Do they only spread at certain depths, and if so, what are those depths and what is the limiting factor (i.e. why are most lakes not entirely reeds?)
