  1. Fairly sure something more is going on then what the OP is telling here. From what i saw in CA Help almoust every person that dropped inside such things and didnt knew about it got rescued. the ones that were refused usually thought jumping into someones mines on purpose to mine a little bit or to steal some items it totally okay and GMs will help them out with the deed. Either that or policies got stricter and if there is an ingame way to rescue yourself you need to use that. Either way locked mines are kinda locked for a reason - on the other side of the story im pretty sure not many would be okay with finding their mine broken into and then get told that the GM helped the culprit.
  2. It seems to be similar to what Kaih answered in a previous post # Java VM: Java HotSpotâ„¢ Client VM (24.65-b04 mixed mode windows-x86 ) X86 indicates its running 32bit Java You have windows 7 64bit so try this: http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/82478-installing-java-recent-crashes-out-of-memory/
  3. # Problematic frame: # C [ig4icd64.dll+0x640e01] These appear to be the drivers for intel chipset graphics card. These are not really Gcards that one would hope to run games on but they might work if you update them to the latest version. you should be able to find them online from the manufacturer. Afterwards also put everything on lowest possible setting and disable everything that can be disabled and try then. it might work so worth a try.
  4. Dont disable those failsafes. If you do that the CPU can overheat and at those temperatures without failsafes fry itself. Clean your computer first. almoust allways the problem with overheating lies in dust carpets across the CPU cooling element. Remove the fan and clean it. clean whats under the fan too. Then check and see if the problem still persists. If it does reapply the termal paste and / or get a new cooling unit. They're fairly cheap nowdays so if its faulty you can get a really good one for only something like 20€. So again dont disable your failsafes. they are there for a reason. Its a simple thing to disable them but you'll fry your computer almoust certainly.
  5. A quick opinion from a player that way playing when Independence was still the only PvE server. Independence is kinda big - one of the biggest servers there is - and can i think player limit wise support up to 800 players. Sounds awesome right? Alot of players think the same. Except when in the past we hit 600-700 players actively online (And similarry a few thousands offline - not everyone plays at the same time) the server started becomming so crowded that there were deeds everywhere, Little 1x1 shacks everywhere, Freedom market didnt have a tree for 200+tile radious Anywhere. The new server - Xanadu - is one of the rare ones that when released will be able to actually offer enough space to both support thousands of players online and not feel redicolously overcrowded. That and its a new step to actually be better than small servers that come with various restrictions when traveling between them (Like animals not crossing for one, The need to sail and the restriction therein that one cannot ride to them, etc) As for loneliness on PvP servers - Honestly not alot of players want to live/Play on PvP servers. There is Chaos server the size of independence and an entire new cluster (Epic) for PvP that people can play on and well... they usually dont want to as seen from graphs of poulation. Most enjoy the safety of PvE lands. And opening new servers wont stop those who do want the PvP experience. Just give more land to those who dont. Disclaimer - this is just my opinion. Not of the team / etc.
  6. EU has almoust fixed that one - Net neutrality law was passed a day after that video aired. Now its just up to the members to put it in use and that shouldnt take much longer i think. For the curious: http://gigaom.com/2014/04/03/european-parliament-passes-strong-net-neutrality-law-along-with-major-roaming-reforms/ Also this while on topic of internet in EU: http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/04/08/eu-data-ruling-idUSL6N0N00YJ20140408
  7. Was an old update last year: Any animal can choose to attack a mount. Starving ones choose to attack mounts more often then Non-starving ones.
  8. I feel like if there is going to be a redesign of the traders there needs to be a way to Reimbuse the current ones and after reimbused they are removed. It will remove some of the hate towards the update so that players who recently purchased it dont feel like it was money down the drain. Afterwards i have to ask a question. Why are they 50s to begin with. With this redesign we could make them alot cheaper as they dont fill the "Drain till empty" nieche anymore. It could be dropped to atleast 10s or less as they only supply additional purchasable items. With the Token selling options traders could fit a role here now - Instead of selling one by one by one item you just drop bulk items into a trader, trader gives you said money and the Deed that the trader was placed ontop of gets 10% tax. Traders are now really usefull all of a sudden and bulk sales of bad goods for little money and upkeep is quite viable.
  9. That doesnt sound too bad. That it decays ondeed seems abit curious and unsure if thats intended but otherwise 4 dam in two weeks translates to decayed in 350 days. For a 55Ql item thats quite some time for it to live if it isnt maintained at all.
  10. That one is most definetly located in Germany. It seems its either Level3 communications Or hetzner with over 1s latency and what appears to be possibly packet loss. Hopefully with this data Rolf can poke the ISPs and they can see what is going on. Edit: My connection just lagged out for a few minutes so i was able to check a few things from my end too. Its almoust certainly Hetzner as im currently going trough init7 to Hetzner and init7 is fine
  11. Tracing should look something like this if it works: When it doesnt work it will start showing stars and timeouts and that will show what dot fell off and is the possible cause
  12. For those who still have issues - the post "it doesnt work" is not really helpfull in tracking down the issue. The simple explanation of how internet works is that You and Wurm online server are connected via dots. The farther away from server usually the more dots. If any of those dots misbehave your connection to the server drops. But Any of those dots ontop of wurm online server also means well... Any dots. To check on said dots there are tools. On windows tracing the route and checking upon those dots is usually done in command prompt "CMD" (rudimentary but good enough) via the command "tracert <IP>" - in this case "tracert 78.46.5.98" - Command will create a table and poke said dots one by one for 30 tries before moving on to show you just what dot is misbehaving and how you are connected. Post that table here so we can see where it goes wrong. For other OS check the topic that RedBaron has posted here: As i play on windows myself i sadly cannot help there :/ With this Data the Devs should be able to help you and fix the issue if the fault lies on their servers, Or advise you if the fault is somewhere else that they dont have access to (As those dots could be anything really. With normal browsing you might never need to connect to them so you never experience issues except when you do need to connect to them). Ps: This is really really really simplified version of how internet works. Just a simple analogy for those who might not know anything in regards to it to try and visualize / understand the issue. edit: Forgot to add commands to servers <.< Wurmonline.com: 78.46.5.98 Servers: 148.251.21.205 Re-edit: Forums appear to be based in the USA VA so troubleshooting with forums is pointless to locate what point fell and therefore not included.
  13. Did you check with your ISP if they are blocking specific traffic or something? Your packets get from: Your modem: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms Magnus [192.168.11.1] Your ISP: 2 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms lan-84-240-28-254.vln.skynet.lt [***.***.***.***] //<--My ip and then Nowhere. Considering VPN works and direct line not something is odd.
  14. An even simpler sollution to the issue of server strain would be to leave the inventory limit in place But make the client unload every few seconds automatically for so long till the crate/Bsb is empty. Possibly wouldnt even require a server update, just a slight tweak to client so its perhaps easier and faster to implement. Whatever the implementation - This is something that would be really nice to have.
  15. While im not sure about the Coral issue i can atleast explain the other one: # Problematic frame: # C [ig4icd32.dll+0x17120] This error points out that you are using intel chipset graphics. This is sadly a really bad integrated GPU and getting a game to run on it will be really difficult. Ontop of that the ammount of Memory is really low. 1GB thats allready 75% used up - only 280MB Free - So there lies another issue. especially as intel GPU runs on a shared memory doubly tasking the system. Dont know what to suggest to you sadly. Update everything and close any programs that are not vital when you run the game so that the system isnt tasked as much. It might work but it will be really difficult to get it running on it so chances are it might never start. ------ Edit: Also poked the processor identifier to see what kind of CPU that is and found: Core 2 Duo T5470 – 1.60 GHz (2 MB L2, 800 MHz FSB, no VT) Family 6, Model 15, Stepping 13 ------ That all together suggests that the computer is quite old. 1GB of memory + Dualcore @ 1.6Ghz + Integrated GPU. Getting a game to run on it will prove really difficult im afraid. Update everything, try 64bit Java if you can that is, disable non-vital programs that run in the background and such and see if you can accomplish anything.
