  1. Wetas on the new server?
  2. Hello everyone. I have a few ideas and thoughts. With the way things are now currently, I have the opinion that server hopping and getting in on every unique kill shouldn't happen. Probably not a popular opinion. But oh well. If you premium a new character for the reduced 2s price and get at least .10 scale/hide and sell it for something cheap like 35c per .01kg you can sell it for 3.50s so gaining a 1.50s profit. Thats dumb and shouldn't be a thing. A hunting server where uniques spawn wouldn't solve anything. They'd still spawn in hard to reach spots and people would still sail up in knarrs full of alts. But I personally would hate having to travel to another server just for unique slayings every time. Because depending on wind and location that could take hours. And long sailing trips are not fun. Also I think that would cause more drama for whichever hunting party finds it and is able to drag it away to a spot away from other people to secretly kill it to get more scale/hide. And other parties would try to drag it away to do the same. That whole scenario just doesnt sound fun. People have put up some good ideas but nothing for preventing a single person rowing up with a knarr full of alts to collect some easy scale/hide. Bloods too but I dont think thats the real issue. I'd love to hear any ideas trying to solve that issue. First idea I have is pretty simple. Have it so your character can only be attuned to 1 server. And while attuned you get loot (hide/scale/blood/sorcery charge) from unique kills like normal. And it takes a character a long time to attune to a new server ( like 7 days for example) you could also get other benefits as well. Like maybe a 5% chance of increased coin finding from fighting or killing or maybe a 1% skill gain bump overall. It would be similar to your personal bank at tokens. Like how you can only have 1 and requires a 24 hour period of you shifting it to a new token. This idea would prevent people from server hopping a bunch. But not so much on the preventing a bunch of alts showing up. Second idea would be if the unique still random spawned somewhere on the map but was friendly. And when it spawned it adds a new mission to the other missions. Like saccing items to the unique or maybe something new. And you would have to go and do that. And after the mission is over or failed, then the unique becomes hostile. If the goal of the mission is met the unique would have increased drop rate percent of sorcery/bones and increased hide/scale. Could take it a step further and say only the people that participated in the mission get the loot. Which might help with the alt problem. Though some people (myself included) stockpile everything like crazy. But would help with people server hopping. Third idea (Niki gave me this idea) is that after a Drake/Dragon is slain whelplings appear everywhere on the map for a limited amount of time. When they're killed you can loot scale/hide from them. This would help those that are not invited to the private slayings. Or maybe have a mission pop up saying to slay a certain amount of whelplings for a reward of scale/hide.
  3. As per title. Looking for a rare large axe. Any ql. Any Enchants.
  4. I would use either one tbh. And looking at the new one i never realized how much the steppe down south was torn up. :/
  5. Agree with you 100%. I am also wearing a set of drake. People playing the investment game is a excellent way of putting it. I don't understand how much damage they cause. I think I do, and this may be devious of me to think like this, but I'd love to see a dragon go through some peoples deeds that never leave them. But yeah, busted fences, escaped horses, cows, things, looting. If that happened to me I'd be mad for sure. So I'm torn. But I think I'd also prefer the penning. But I would still want my dragon day idea. And make it a Wurm event. Where everyone bands together to go murder dragons. All day. Then after that everyone drinks wine. Or make the dragon day idea happen on that PVE server ↓ . PVE Hunting server would be neat. I'd be down for that. But I think people are going to want the loading of animals into ships to bring them back. Which... meh.
  6. I've heard of lots of reasons why people don't want more drake/scale floating around. Whats yours? Also could make it so that you could have to butcher a dragon and have it not produce as much. Or be more rare to produce. So you would have to butcher many dragons to get enough hide to make a set. And I would expect the spawn timers to have such low chances that a dragon of a certain color would spawn once a month or two. So you'd only be able to get a full set of armour maybe after 8-10 months.
  7. I've been hearing rumors about bringing unique mobs back to the freedom servers. But everyone is concerned about dragons just being farmed again. I believe that the dev's have turned all of the dragons male to stop them from giving birth to eggs. Which is good. But I had another idea along side that. It has to do with Dragon's spawning on certain tiles. Like the Red Dragon can only spawn on lava tiles. Green on enchanted grass. Black dragon can only be spawned from Insanity mob spawner. And White can only spawn on snow. Also not sure if this could be a thing, I don't think it can or it would of probably already been, but would it be possible to have the dragons despawn if no one is around them or in their local after a certain amount of time? That way it would help stop people just locking them up. If that can' be a thing, then could shortening their life span solve it? Or just make them have a set amount of time they can be around after they spawn. 1-2 days. I would much rather have the dragons just despawn. And then make a day where all of the despawned dragons appear one day out of year for each server and just terrorize people. I'd love to see how the servers responds to a Dragon day. Or it could even be a competition to see how many dragons each server killed. Of course this would destroy prices for drake/scale. Could also make the butchering items from dragons produce less or be more difficult produce. For the troll king/Goblin leader just make that be a random chance to spawn. Or make the server randomly choose another troll to be 'upgraded' to king/leader status. The Kyklops and Forest Giant just have a random spawn on a grass tile or something. I don't have any fancy spawning ideas for them. Thoughts?
  8. I love you in the face area, Ago. I didn't even realize I was downloading the 32. Ty. Everything (for the time being) is working fine.
  9. Wurm was working fine earlier yesterday on both of my accounts. Then I logged off of one and left the other on. Few hours later logged back on with the other character and it gave me this message "update failed! (Error: could not copy graphics.jar to graphics.jar.bak)". Finally found out to log off with my other character. But after I did that my game keeps crashing every two minutes for both characters. Certain graphics in game are not correct now as well. Guard towers, weapon racks, armor stands and wells are all grayed out. Other character models are solid black. So I deleted wurm and reinstalled it. Didn't work. Updated Java. Didn't work. Deleted Java entirely and reinstalled it. Still no luck. I do get a whopping 60 fps though. It was usually a solid 20. o.O Tried messing with the GLSL shader, FBO support and pbuffer support in different sequences. But still the same result. It also crashes without the regular red crash page but a notepad document instead. y u no like me wurm. # # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: # # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x6b081f35, pid=4372, tid=7332 # # JRE version: 7.0_25-b17 # Java VM: Java HotSpot Client VM (23.25-b01 mixed mode windows-x86 ) # Problematic frame: # V [jvm.dll+0x161f35] # # Failed to write core dump.
