  1. Unexpected crash, just riding into the area the original group of holy sites was spawned.
  2. Oh, so I recognise the spot identified with a vision orb, ride up there - from a distance I can see the glow of the holy site, but as I approach it disappears... and nothing is to be found... Looked to very much like the coast in F25 - but other than the distant glow, nothing when closer. But, did find one further up the coast in E24
  3. I understand the concept of life being so full that finding a space for Wurm is a problem. But being too old...
  4. Still appear to be in the wrong order, for me at least... [09:46:44] You should now continue recording by using a dioptra on the survey from the highest point of land nearby which is behind you. And get directed to the lowest point near by, at the bottom of a lake. Followed by [09:50:37] You finish noting the lowest point of land and decide that the highest point is what you'll need to record next. which directs me to the highest point... Also notice that picking up the range pole does not prevent a survey from being continued. Intended?
  5. The added opacity really helps with combining maps. Having wildly different contour lines on maps being combined is still jarring. Would be nice if the map image, rather than just the blank map, was displayed when trying hang on the wall. I find it far to easy to rotate them, at least with a magic mouse as the default macOS settings are far too sensitive to control placement rotation in the game while being just right for scrolling elsewhere... Would be nice to add a move rclick menu with rotation and move up/down, left/right options. A rotate for north up would be a nice start. Would also be nice if stamps were visible on a map when hung on the wall.
  6. The order of the locations, or the wording, is out of sequence. Starting the survey: But rather than directing you to the highest point, you are directed to the lowest point first, and then the highest
  7. Going to leave combining these until there is some transparency, but you should be able to see what I mean about the contour lines being quite different. The tar patch on the right hand map is the same tar patch as in the map I posted earlier - here a contour crosses it, in the other it doesn't.
  8. Make a couple of maps that overlap, seemed like a good idea, the contour lines on them are very different. Should have copied the maps before combining, but here is the resulting combination, a lot of the contours disappeared on the combined map.
  9. Tried that, but it is just connecting me with the original test server, Oracle!! At least I'm fairly sure that is what is happening as I'm appearing in the world at the place I was at previously, and not on the new items are in the test menu. Would also help if I read the final bit of that red paragraph, and travelled back to the starter town and used the portal...
  10. On Oracle at least, pressing m shows the in game map of Oracle. Don't remember if this happened on the other newer test server, or on the test PVP server. An updated map dump is always welcome.

  12. This is just cause of OpenGL running in compatibility mode?? There is a thread somewhere about this, if I remember correctly there was a bunch of legacy code that needs working though to get to a more current OpenGL version on macOS.
  13. I thought I heard an explosion earlier, maybe if you eat too much you just go pop 🤷‍♂️
  14. Goodbye Shamank

    Sad to see Shamank leave.
  15. This still appears to be a problem.
  16. This subject has appeared over on the suggestions site -> https://suggestions.wurmonline.com/b/suggestions/docks-and-piers/ This idea made an appearance on the 2020 roadmap - While hanging things on walls is making an appearance in the next update, any more recent mention of docks has been illusive. Hopefully they will not become like bridges and be in before.... It should be possible to dock at any point around the edge of a pier, not just at the ends. Maybe they should have bollards to tie up to, using mooring lines, rather than using an anchor - an idea that was mentioned in an even older suggestion. Links to some previous suggestions around this idea.
  17. Searching finds some other reports of java.lang.NullPointerException at com.sun.javafx.font.MacFontFinder.populateFontFileNameMap(MacFontFinder.java:99) out there, like this one. To quote from there: Hopefully that will also solve this problem for you.
  18. Rift 1st Oct 2022

Rift was a bit shorter, with only 3 waves now. The War Master really didn't want to play ball, and took forever to kill.
  19. Substituting Xanadu into the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy definition of Space seems to fit. You can fit 16 of the smaller servers into Xanadu. Is probably going to help if you cut the map up into smaller chunks to keep things manageable. Esteron is an interesting area, plenty large enough for a single episode, for a long time it was cut off from the server, at least for easy land access. The first easy road out is via The Shire and Clear Lake. But, other routes have been worked on in the past, no idea of current progress of those.
  20. And it is back to M21 this time. Just off of the highway. For those sailing, the east end of Fraggle Rock canal tunnel is just a short distance way along the road. For local times https://www.wurmnode.com/

  22. Rabbits Hole Canal

I'll be heading over in a little while. --- Have arrived.. moored on the east side.

  24. There are few problems with walking scouts around Xanadu, but other than the distances involved they are much the same as the other servers. Been doing it to pinpoint rifts since there were added. Looking forward to seeing what trouble your scouts manage to discover.
