  1. This week's rift is in O19. See Niarja for the time for this rift. Not sure at this stage if I will have the time to ride down to this one...
  2. Just had the same happen on Xanadu - sailed out of tunnel and was flying....
  3. I had those messages as well.... After some messing around I notice fishing has changed from what was on the test server. The right click 'fish' just gets you ready to cast 'You stand still and get ready to cast', you then need to move the target and click again to select where you want to cast. 'You cast the line and start fishing'. I don't see any target while fishing, it almost seems as if clicking anywhere will catch the fish when something nibbles on the line.
  4. Also add. the incomplete fishing rod rack has the model of a clay jar. the rack does not take on the wood type colour. --- Update: Just restarted the client, and the rack is now showing a different model when there are poles inside. Still not showing wood type.
  5. The fishing rod appear to take the wood type of the shaft used, rather than that of the fishing pole. Upgrading a old style fishing rod, with enchants, the enchants are transferred to the new fishing pole. BUT, they get lost if you use that fishing pole to make a rod ?

  7. This week's rift is in M17, to the east of the road south of rome, in an olive forest. See Niarja for the time for this rift. I remembered to turn the marker off before taking the screen shot this time
  8. I expect we will be seeing Retro visiting us all again to convince are now grey foals/horses of their true colours. I've certainly seen more variability in the colour of foals with the last round of horse breeding, very few have breed true to the colour of their parents, and grandparents....

  10. My Chestnut foal has changed back to being grey, this is one that Retro changed back to Chestnut after the last time this happened... and a wild Buckskin in my pens is also grey now...

  17. I notice that the lighting was correct when I logged in just now. Not sure if this means that the problem has been fixed, or if just that the horse colour related restarts have corrected an underlying cause.
  18. Rift 11-28

    South of Rome, in grid square M17 - approx. location is http://wurmonlinemaps.com/xanadu?x=4342&y=-4567&z=5 There is a 1 tile wide sandstone path on the east side of the highway that is about level with the rift that will take you there... I'm not going to be able to make this one.
  19. An observation, and a very probably a silly thought. Is it this issue really a problem with the lighting? I just noticed the moons change when the lights come one, is it is probably more correct to say this is a problem with the position of the sun and moons, and the client is just lighting the world based on where it thinks the sun and moon are. I wonder, could it be that this has a similar underlying cause to an old issue with frozen time and sun/moons suddenly changing position? There was a comment, I forget where, that there was a change put in that corrects the issue (think that was the wording). So, could it be that the underlying cause is currently happening on those servers affected. The sudden jump to having the sun/moons in the correct place, and the sudden lighting change, is just that earlier correcting code setting things straight with the client?

  22. Rift - 8 Nov

    The O20 is the grid square on the map - the yellow dot in the s.w. part of that grid is the rift location. There are good roads/highways to the area. Along the highway south of "The Three Legged Troll" there is fork, with a waystone, take the road to the south west along this there is a turning uphill to the west which leads up, there is some highway construction work in the area - the path shown on that map across the steppe has been replaced with a diagonal road.

I am fairly certain that it did not happen prior to the 23rd, it is so noticeable, the sudden change from night to day, that I expect I would have spotted it if it had happened earlier than that. Looking at my event logs for the 22nd, I can see that at least once I logged in outside during the wurm day (at the Xanadu rift) and I did not notice this problem. Given comments above, about only seeing this on Exodus and Xanadu, and it being 4:23 wurm time I've just logged in an alt on Independence, using the same client settings, and I don't see the problem over there. So, not a client issue?, but probably something that the client is receiving from the server for at least the day/night rendering not being received at the expected time???
