  1. Well darn it, if so. No 'Notchslayer' for me. The reason I think it fits is that I imagine he'd be making a habit of speaking English in public - especially in video game related situations. His fans are all over the world after all.
  2. Dunno if this calls for it's own thread in this sub-forum to be honest, but it is vaguely Wurm-related. Mods please move it if you feel it's not warranted. So after spent about an hour on the Test server (and first time in the game for over a year) to test out the new 'Wurm 1.0' features, I recognised this name identical to the old Wurm developer that logged in to my local at the starting area... Interested, I went and followed him around a bit. (note that I crashed a few times while taking screenshots) Yes, he accepted my duelling proposal. He put up a bit of a fight, using bandages and all. Tastes like sudden-internet-famous person I don't know if anyone can log in under any name on the test server or if existing account names are spoken for... All I can say is that he acted more or less as I would have expected him to, asking about the new features and some coding specifics (also note me talking to him in Swedish and him answering in English). He had just logged off the server before I left about an hour ago. Imposter or not? You decide.
  3. Tone down the brightness a little bit and think about redoing the top banner and I think I could get pleasantly used to this layout.
  4. Some kind of item for banner carriers would be neat, yes. +1.
  5. I don't think this is feasible currently, but when Collada gets implemented we should see proper bone animations and emotes in which case I can't think of any reason why we wouldn't get these.
  6. Tents

+1 to chefpeewe's ideas. So little that would do so much for the survivalist explorers on Wurm.
  7. Totally! +1. Excuse me for self-quoting, but I just wrote this in another thread: Or you could pin the notes to doors/walls if you like, as you say.
  8. We already have signs and items that can have their name/description extensively modified. Rolf might be able to transfer this into a new system that opens up a window (with different backgrounds and special fonts depending on 'book' type if the art team feels up to that) with a string of text stored in that particular item's data when a certain action is used on it ("Read"). The Note board could simply be a container that only stores note papers, that can then be opened and read (they can be identified by having their "title" changed like you can already do with most crafted items in Wurm).
  9. Introducing a PVP-preventing item to counter the PVP-preventing item that was given out for free? Maby, but it's really going to do as much damage as it does good. Instead of new players dying while the vets can run away at will, everyone will be able to run way at will. It was a bad idea to give 'em out for free and I don't think this is going to help the situation frankly. Yet another reason I'm going Epic. I don't have to be affected by some old bad decisions (only new ones ).
  10. Could be useful. But what I'd personally love to see even more would be the ability to write logs books, lore books, notes (with a note board on which you can put them so you can recruit or announce things to anyone who passes by and reads it) and letters as an item type that can be read by anyone who activates it (unless it has some 'locking' enchantment?). Would make for some interesting RP possibilities as well as 'spy games', advertisements and more. This probably deserves it's own thread though, if it dosn't already.
  11. Voted yes. As long as the spawns get more 'regional' I'm all in for it on Epic/Wild. As for the freedom cluster; I could very much understand why they wouldn't want regional stuff. I mean; on the PVP servers it's all about fighting for resources. On PVE servers it will probably just lead to crowding and land disputes for the best piece of dirt.
  12. +1. As bumpy as the road has been and no doubt still will be at times, with strange and outright bad decisions (as well as great ones) plus a load of technical issues here and there, you are making good progress on one of the most unique Sandbox MMOs available today, Rolf. Keep it up.
  13. Something like that, yes. And the bought ones would obviously be at QL 99 or thereabouts.
  14. I'd rather not have any exclusive event- or payed-for-with-real-money-items that affects PVP in a direct way on Epic, ever. PVE or visual stuff (*cough* hats) would be just fine - go crazy about it. But keep PVP clean and accessible for all players through crafting or similar! Or at least attainable without having to pay (but really hard, so that buying it directly would be a very fast shortcut). But who am I kidding, it's a way too profitable businesses model to not have it in (pay up or die a lot-style). And what's all this talk about losing money? You don't lose anything other than game time by switching, for example, from Wild to Epic since Rolf is putting in the ability to switch between your previous server without even having to go to a portal. Come and leave as you wish!
