    I wanted to make a generalised thread about Epic idiosyncrasies. There are a bunch of limitations on Epic that seem rather redundant and should be easy enough to change if agreed to, just small QoL things: Being able to imp dragon armour with regular hide (dragon hide is no longer finite) Prayer resets from sermons (Platinum inspired me to take the suggestion further to add all the quirks) Channeling skill gain from Vessel (does it really matter if you can get some skill from a gem when there are veggies) Legendary titles (not generic 'Epic secondclasscitizen') Drake/Scale dropping on dc/log out with enemy in local I feel like I'm missing some so lemme know and I can add. (I left stam out intentionally)

    I have decided to quit this game for personal reasons. Bangzuvelis, blackmonk, string all sold. Thank you for being such a great community for all the time spent in wurm. If you had bang on your permissions, please remove it. EMR please remove him from the empire as well as Ship. I am going for good, have fun Wuriming .

    So a funny thing, I've noticed that when I send myself or one (or more) of my priests on a long voyage away from my farm deed, I get a bit on anxiety, almost a feeling of Agoraphobia if they are away from home for a long time. I find myself 'worrying' about it even when I am not online..."I should get them home soon...they have stuff to do...why are they gone so long...should they go home now?'. I find it really bizarre on another level that I am one of the few Wurmians that actually enjoy sailing, yet when I sail to far, I find myself thinking about turning around because I may have been gone from home for too long. Now I realize this is a bit silly, and I am probably a bit on the loony side for these thoughts, but it made me wonder... what other silly real live anxiety like this do others have in Wurm? I'm not looking for a support group..."Hello...My Name is Dorian...I play Wurm Online"....I just thought it could be a fun type of forum thread.

    ( mostly from the 4 piles of rift crystals I prospected ) Rift Crystal Pile despawns after 100 stones are prospected, regardless of how many crystals you get. Prospecting skill up on initial prospect ( had to move away 1 tile, come back to get more than 1 - possibly bug or unintended to be able to do that ) also was able to prospect 1 pile, then another back to back for skill ups, about 3 tiles apart. While prospecting the pile itself wihtout moving I didn't get any skill ups on prospecting - at 50.87 skill Crystal ql seems max of pile ql affected by effective ql of the pile ( use the equation of ql - damage ect : don't remember off hand what the equation is - need more to test this correctly but using my spreedsheet the ql came out to within .001 of effective ql max of pile prospected as max ql of the crystal ) Crystals themselves can be bsb, crated, 100 fit inside satchel. Weight is .20 kg - icon for the crystal is a placeholder ? Max combined 64, weight is 12.80 kg - fits inside satchel Heats in forge like a lump ( non wood as of now for damage while being heated ) Unsure if possible to get rare crystal while prospecting. ** updated *** Piles can't be prospected while there is an active rift on the server even if they're piles from previous rifts ( unintended bug or a feature unknown ) messege of : The power of the Rift prevents you from prospecting that right now.

    +1 Priests can create and gather resources, having some low-favor skill/s available for the followers wont be that OP, and these that could be abused in pve/pvp just wont be allowed to be used.. who cares if a follower can mend or lighttoken with their favor, blessing - alchemy transmutation liquid needs that.. Lower the favor regeneration if needed to make it more annoying... if the channeling gains for followers are OP.. limit that to 20.00 etc.. Could be done, there are plenty of simple skills to mess around, it could be as simple as letting followers use 1-2 of the simple spells per deity, imo wont be that bad if followers could cast them. This will at last make some use for the 30 favor that followers have and could never use for anything... (hides before the rage comes after me for my words...)

    I have had the PVP nightmare as well. That feeling everyone gets in their dream of not being able to move quickly and feeling stuck in place is exactly what Web Armor does to you. The anxiety is real.

    I've woken up in the middle of the night from a dream where I was in dying in pvp, several times. I like to think that I've gotten better over the years, but every once in awhile...

    I really like the spirit of this thread. Hypothetically, It would be great if we could could standardise the question asking format and remove all player's posts that aren't a properly formated unique question. (feedback from players is irrelevant because often times its nothing more then their opinion. For example; in my opinion we should be flying, teleporting, building 1000 story houses, have mini-maps and container's shouldn't have any storage limits). Dev could answer these questions. We would have a nice thread that would help tremendously at informing players about WO's direction and developer intentions.

    I think I'm too bummed to type a goodbye. I'll miss your enthusiasm to get in the fray and fight, and your ability to find the fun in a game most of us take too seriously. You might be the only guy in history to still be welcome in every kingdom, hope to see you out there, regardless of who's flag you're wearing.

    Good idea, to keep Epic unique sorcery and missions should be removed from Chaos. I'd say remove playergods but I'd mean that for everywhere Outside of that I don't see how better quality of gameplay (mostly the priest stuff) takes away anything "unique", and imping drake/scale with leather won't mean there is a surplus like on freedom cluster because our drops are still horrible

    Being walled into a mine without the ability to bash your way out is not intended play, this issue has been used by both sides in the past and has now been addressed. It won't be possible to block defenders in a mine indefinitely, and we have a fix for those occasions where one gets stuck inside a wall on the border.

    True alex, but its not nearly enough in my opinion. I'd like to see actual winerys with brand names be a thing, and the wine and other beverages actually be something people will need on a day to day basis.

    Anything to do with paper i'm in, I'm actually 50 papyrusmaking but sadly the skill is worthless. We need maps and other neat things also!

    Brief disclaimer: I'm not going to lie, I'm sharing these mods in the hope that they'll be useful to you, but I can not guarantee continued support/development. I'm investing time in them because I'm admin on a friend's small private server at this time, that I play on as well. Development of the 1.4/1.4.1 update was kindly sponsored by http://PVEpLands.com! See the update post for details. The 1.4.2 update seems to have required only Pick More Sprouts to be updated. If you find some functionality broken, please post here or open an issue on Github. Ideally make sure that it really is one of these mods, a good way to find out is running the server with only one mod and confirming. Otherwise it might be a compatibility issue which requires the whole mod list (a ZIP of the mods folder for ease of access helps) to try and resolve the issue. Its name is vaguely dedicated to a rubber duck, hence the name Unlimited Quacks (formerly Unlimited Tweaks). Epic mission hints Tree cut down missions will centre the tree on the tile, and set it to 69 damage (we don't want to raze our perimeters). Always shows traitor creatures like using the Locate soul spell when tracking (Note: traitor creatures seem to disappear on server restarts), not sure about performance issues with large numbers of players spamming tracking. Can customise mission generation, disable mission types (e.g. building pylons), and tweak numbers required. No holy ground Allows founding settlements, terraforming, and building structures (not even GMs can do it) near the white and black light altar (we're using them decoratively in the spawn town), also allows founding settlements despite aggressive creatures and creature dens. No mail cost Removes postage from mailing items, also removes postage from returned/rejected mails. Looking into placing 30 power enchants on newly created mailboxes. Newly created mailboxes will have a 30 power Courier enchant placed on them. Configurable (any feature can be toggled, and the power can be specified). The enchant actually works now. Well done, Ulvi, only took you forever to add that one line of code *self cynicism*. PvP surface mining slope On Epic, the slope limit for surface mining is 1.0 times your mining skill, this reverts it to 3.0 times (like on PvE). Ash produce Items that have cooling ticks can produce ash. Ash producing items are configureable now (don't want kilns to produce ash? no problem!). Chance per second is now configurable globally and per item now. Limit the number of stacks produced globally and per item now! Should no longer create ghost ash. Fire burn time Displays pretty much the exact time until a fire becomes a layer of glowing coals. Example: [17:03:54] It will burn steadily for about 72 minutes and 10 seconds. (50QL forge not inside a structure) Target temperature now configurable, see config file for further details and figures. Now displays target temperature specific messages (e.g. the fire will be a bed of glowing red coals in x minutes). Double bulk capacity Newly created BSBs and FSBs capacity is quadrupled (4x). All crates capacity is doubled. Both values can be configured. Crates trimmed their items back down to 150 and 300 respectively, because I overlooked another place that needed a change. Pick more sprouts Pick more sprouts with one action. Configurable (defaults to 5). Right now there's nothing else definitively planned, that isn't provided by other mods already. Feel free to fork the git repository, contribute, or build upon it. Always test new mods on a local test server before pushing things live, and make a backup.

    Interesting server. Out of a desire for something different, I decided to check this server out. Any notes or observations may be wrong and are simply based on my interpretations Combat: Traditional WO/WU mobs drop coin. Server specific mobs drop alchemy reagents and enchanting items (thus far). Server specific mobs range from variations on WO/WU mobs such as forest spider, dark spider, swamp spider, direwold, cliff racer (mini dragon type mob) etc. The server specific mobs are visually different in terms of color. Mobs also vary on size based upon their "level" Mobs (and players) have traditional MMO levels. The levels seem on par so far as far as combat goes. A level 37 wildcat does seem to hit harder than a level 1. Attempts to fight mobs much higher than my level never seems to go well. Armor seems a must compared to WO/WU even fighting low level mobs. That may also be due to my lower Body Stamina having chosen a Khajit race for movement speed bonus. Alchemy: The alchemy system is involved and almost overwhelming at first. It seems to utilize drops from server specific mobs and also as a by product of farming. You have to have a glass flask to pour your mixtures into. The glass flask can be purchased from a vendor in the spawn area or made using a consumable pottery glass form and sand. A spreadsheet was shared with me showing all the alchemy ingredients and their properties. I have not yet made a potion that was actually useful and the ones I have made basically put a slow effect on myself (note to self, don't drink potions that start with SL) Enchanting: Someone else covered the mechanism behind that above. It seems to work, though 100 mana takes a LONG time to recover (1 mana recovered/5 minute interval iirc Magic: Seems well done, but i havent' actually used it. The Circle 1 spells cost more silver than I currently have and given mana recovery rates, I can't see using it that often. Mods: The server does not seem to feature any of the traditional par for course mods such as dig to dirt, bulk transfer, crop mod etc Religion: Does not seem to exist. No priest spells (replaced with magic and enchanting) Personal thoughts: I have quit playing a few times now in frustration. I'm sure there are good reasons for slow mana recovery, but if it was 5 mana every 1 minute, that would make a huge difference to me in terms of making magic more useful. The ability to mix something normal together such as wemp and water to make "mana juice" would remove the reliance on finding alchemy reagents to make mana potions. Even with 30ql plate (I found some on an abandoned deed and a 20QL large maul, mobs equal to my level kick my butt. Simple wild cats and wolves. It could be my imagination but medium wounds at 20 or 30 damage always seem to worsen even after bandaging. Some good concepts, a bit too hard core. Action timers and skill rate seems slower than what is advertised, but that is just a subjective observation.

    Just wl spells/kingdoms, means everyone can be the same priest, everyone has to contest the white light, no web armour so lighter armours are made more viable

    If those get introduced epic might as well merge with Chaos cos it would be basically the same, its not as though epic has anything unique anymore anyway or that very many play it.

    I want to see actual winery brands appear in Wurm. Change beverages like wine and beer so that they a requirement if you want max nutrition, and make it so that plain water is not the best option anymore. Then, add glassmaking skill for making bottles for these new beverages, and make it possible to make labels for them with papyrus. This way, we could actually see brands of wine and beer starting to appear in Wurm. Could see custom brands like like "Deliverance Stout", "Independance Ale", or "Posteh Whiskey Year 1045"

    Tfw 4 is more than 4... Plus as I said before, if you can wall someone in for some time, you can plan to get in and have the advantage where the defenders usually do. If the pvp ban hadn't come in for you to get out, there would have been some form of pvp by either a rescue team or you having to log in.

    Not being able to bash out of a mine is hell stupid, the freedom aspect of it is even more annoying. I've fell into walled off mines due to lag before and saved myself a GM call by bashing myself out. I feel bashing walls from inside the mine is fine, I think if an attacker wants to prevent a defender from getting out, they should ATLEAST be building a 3x3 fence ring. I think to balance this, actions started OUTSIDE a mine can not be continued if they STEP INTO a mine, to stop the exploit of flattening ramps and running back to a mine with the timer still running, or building walls 3 tiles outside of a mine and running back in with the timer still on, etc. It means if a defender wants to get out, they have to be out in the open willing to commit to bashing.

    Hi guys, tonight i fallen (again) into arguments with Circe/Ostentatio, i know it's nothing like loosing money, items or skills...however i decided to make this post due to two reasons. Why i decided to make this post, well 1st - his/her attitude against others is very bad 2nd - gms/cms reactions are not proper Now i introduce to You all ...Mr(or Mrs)Circe/Ostentatio - - it's someone who always is right, even he is not right he is right, he knows everything about everything, from drilling deep into our lovely planet thru each kind of science to flying in the space, yes he knows it already, 1st on the Moon was Circe not guys from USa (even some people saying it's not truth), he knows it, and now you know it too, - we could say, perhaps he is a kid and trolling, well perhaps he doesn't know but for trolling thru net he can finish in court, its quite common this days, and perhaps one day he will break some wurm playing kid so much that police will knock to his doors - but no, by this what and how he is saying, like for example about alcohols, be drunk, well mate you are adult person then, kid would't know things you know, unless its miracle kid, - by any chances if you ever manage to got into dispute with him, there is always same scenario : 1st he making some statement on something about something, most of time he taking it from contents 2nd yr statement is not important, even you are right ..then you are wrong 3rd in this moment his statement was replaced by x amount of statements ...let's call them ....a,b,c,d,e,f etc etc 4th it this time mostly you need to defend yourself on few ends, and quite few people coming to the chat, (as well Greyfox came back with his popcorn:D ) 5th basically, in this moment he begins his attacks, you are trying to say something on "a" and he calling you publicly how bad you are, how wrong because it was about "c", then you going to "c" and he moving to "d" catching on the way "p" and "z", 6th now ..we got long story of something about something, from his arguments a+c+d+p+z, we see that you taking about " acdpzing? " ,well this is what happening now, everyone lured to chat is told by Circe that you taking about "acdpzing", its not Circe its you who taking about "adcpzing" what the h..l is "adcpzing", this is only in Circe head, but it was YOU who told it in chat and you are banished for saying crap 7th ...7 is hard to reach, as mostly in phase 6 people giving up ....or IF (then grats...or maybe not yet -> look point 8) you managed to put him to the wall and he lost all possible ways, what is he doing? yes ladies and gentlemans Circe in this moment calling CM/GM for help, you are guilty, you been taking about "acdzping" you making rubbish in chat 8th wow, you got to 8th? congratulation in this moment, of course 100% same reaction, GM calling you to leave chat ???     Reading through all the various comments and there are various interesting points. I`m not going to quote all the ones that caught my attention, but I`ll sum some of them up by saying that we are not entitled to anything. If we want something in Wurm, whether it`s terraforming, building a house, producing 90ql tools, or breeding the four legged rockets that are hell horses, then we have to put in the effort. But in saying that, breeding hellies really only requires animal husbandry and patience. I spent months (much time was wasted trying to breed out keen senses, before I gave up and slaughtered all those) breeding my bloodline from scratch, and on the rare occasions I was attacked by one during breeding I simply backed off for a few seconds and no targetted. And taming is only useful in the beginning, when you`re bringing home the starting stock. Don`t want to raise taming to make life a little easier? That`s your own choice. Now...back to the topic at hand... Given that there seems to be no speed difference between any of the ages, and that a hellhorse mount (and some ships, as according to the wiki, a fully crewed cog and caravel can do 33 and 34km/h respectively) is faster than a cart, then that casts some doubt upon the speed calculations being a valid justification for the change. If we assume that hellcarts becoming the dominant strategy are the real reason behind it, then a simple solution would be to link their use with Mind Logic, while also keeping the Body Control requirement for riding them, since you are actually sitting on the creature. A large cart requires 20.10 ML to command, a wagon is 21, and the game already does a check when you mount as commander to see if you have the required ML. Expand that check so that you need additional ML for every HH you have hitched. Let`s say 5 ML per HH, so at 30 ML you can command a hellcart, or half a hellwagon. Fail the check, and you still mount as commander (this won`t alter the unhitching permissions), but you get an error message of "the cart/wagon team are too unruly to be commanded", or "the cart/wagon team ignore your commands", or whatever. Gaining ML by just doing stuff then has the bonus reward of access to faster land travel, without making normal horses obsolete
