Disclaimer to avoid confusion: This post was written in 2016 and is no longer accurate. Cedar containers no longer slow down the decay of their contents any more than other containers do. I wrote this based on my own in-game testing prior to being on the development team, and while the information was correct at the time, it no longer is, and has not been for quite a while. Conventional wisdom dictates that cedar items decay more slowly, but that cedar containers do nothing to slow down the decay of their contents. Turns out this is actually wrong, and cedar containers do, in fact, slow down the decay of their contents, in addition to cedar items themselves taking less damage. In fact, it stacks. A cedar item, or an item in a cedar container, decays more slowly. A cedar item inside a cedar container decays even more slowly. In fact, the more cedar containers are nested inside each other, the better the effect. For example, an item inside a cedar bucket, inside a cedar large barrel, inside a cedar raft, inside a cedar wagon takes quite significantly less damage than normal. For some background on this and where I got the idea, see here: Of course, the decay code is essentially a basilisk and scares the hell out of me, and empirical data is always a good idea, so I've run a couple tests over the past several days. If you don't care to read lots of numbers and rambling statements, feel free to skip to "Overall Conclusions" at the bottom of this post. Methodology: Removed hundreds of cooked meat from a food storage bin, then placed them in various off-deed, outdoor containers in a secure area. I then checked back a certain time later and noted how much decay was on the meat in each container, and how much (if any) had already completely been destroyed due to 100+ decay damage. Meat QL is not quite the same from test to test, so specific decay values can't really be compared between them. Container QL does not matter, but is listed anyway for the sake of completeness, and I've tried to use roughly equivalent QL of containers anyway. Damage is 0 when not specified. Also note: "Cedar count" below means how many containers in the chain are cedar. For example, meat inside a cedar bucket inside a firwood raft inside a cedar caravel would have a cedar count of 2. Test 1: Two barrels, one cedar and one fir, placed on the ground off-deed and outdoors. Each barrel contains one cedar bucket, three cotton satchels, and the rest of the barrel filled with meat. Initial meat QL not recorded but was likely 46.61QL. Meat left to ripen for approximately 2 or 3 days (not certain; all that's important is all the meat in this test decayed for the same amount of time). Please note that average damage of meat inside a container may be very misleading if some of the meat has already decayed away entirely, since those are not factored into the average; a container's meat stack may have significantly more decay than another even with lower average damage, if it has suffered more total loss of meat items, since the average is only the average damage of REMAINING meat in the stack. Results: Cedar Barrel (41.65 QL) 61 meat (Cedar count: 1, avg. 37.53 dmg): 7 - 0 dmg, 11 - 8.58 dmg, 9 - 17.97 dmg, 8 - 42.91 dmg, 17 - 57.94 dmg, 9 - 78.34 dmg, 0 destroyed Cedar Small Bucket (30.93 QL) 47 meat (Cedar count: 2, avg. 18.30 dmg): 13 - 0 dmg, 11 - 8.58 dmg, 8 - 25.74 dmg, 15 - 37.30 dmg, 0 destroyed Cotton Satchel (10.49 QL) 71 meat (Cedar count: 1, avg. 28.78 dmg): 8 - 0 dmg, 23 - 8.58 dmg, 13 - 17.97 dmg, 9 - 42.91 damage, 9 - 57.94 dmg, 0 destroyed Cotton Satchel (10.49 QL) 71 meat (Cedar count: 1, avg. 33.66 dmg): 9 - 0 dmg, 16 - 8.58 dmg, 9 - 17.97 dmg, 13 - 42.91 dmg, 17 - 57.94 dmg, 7 - 78.34 dmg, 0 destroyed Cotton Satchel (10.49 QL) 71 meat (Cedar count: 1, avg. 37.98 dmg): 9 - 0 dmg, 16 - 8.58 dmg, 6 - 17.97 dmg, 6 - 42.91 dmg, 23 - 57.94 dmg, 11 - 78.34 dmg, 0 destroyed Fir Barrel (42.37 QL) 43 meat (Cedar count: 0, avg. of remaining 39.13 dmg): 3 - 0 dmg, 11 - 8.58 dmg, 7 - 17.97 dmg, 8 - 28.43 dmg, 4 - 68.85 dmg, 10 - 96.03 dmg, 18 destroyed (29.5% loss) Cedar Small Bucket (31.70 QL) 47 meat (Cedar count: 1, avg. 30.95 dmg): 10 - 0 dmg, 12 - 8.58 dmg, 5 - 17.97 dmg, 4 - 42.91 dmg, 8 - 57.94 dmg, 8 - 78.34 dmg, 0 destroyed Cotton Satchel (10.49 QL) 56 meat (Cedar count: 0, avg. of remaining 37.20 dmg): 5 - 0 dmg, 15 - 8.58 dmg, 13 - 17.97 dmg, 6 - 28.43 dmg, 3 - 68.65 dmg, 14 - 96.03 dmg, 15 destroyed (21.1% loss) Cotton Satchel (10.49 QL) 57 meat (Cedar count: 0, avg. of remaining 38.36 dmg): 8 - 0 dmg, 13 - 8.58 dmg, 13 - 17.97 dmg, 3 - 28.43 dmg, 6 - 68.65 dmg, 14 - 96.03 dmg, 14 destroyed (19.7% loss) Cotton Satchel (10.49 QL) 49 meat (Cedar count: 0, avg. of remaining 35.59 dmg): 6 - 0 dmg, 12 - 8.58 dmg, 10 - 17.97 dmg, 7 - 28.43 dmg, 3 - 68.65 dmg, 11 - 96.03 dmg, 22 destroyed (31.0% loss) Tentative conclusions from test 1: Time between decay damage ticks is somewhat highly randomized. Higher sample size/more tests needed to determine if time between decay ticks is influenced by cedar. Damage due to a single decay tick is entirely deterministic, as only certain values were encountered. Damage amount definitely appears to depend on how many cedar containers "deep" an item is stored within (including, presumably, the item itself being cedar). For example, the same damage "steps" are encountered in the meat stack inside a cotton satchel inside a cedar barrel, as encountered in the meat stack inside a cedar bucket inside a fir barrel, because each has a single cedar container somewhere up the chain (cedar count: 1). Meanwhile, the meat stack inside the cedar bucket inside a cedar barrel (cedar count: 2) has different values from the rest. Cedar containers definitely slow decay. With a sample size of a few hundred meat, and the amount of consistency we see here, this is essentially certain. The only meat stacks with any totally-lost items are ones with a cedar count of 0. Multiple nested cedar containers certainly seem to slow decay further. Stacks with a cedar count greater of 2 seem to take less damage on average than stacks with a cedar count of 1, and the damage tick sizes are different in magnitude (see #2 above), but more testing is needed. These results were pretty encouraging, so I decided to do another test. Test 2: Testing to see results of more varied cedar container nesting. One fir barrel placed on the ground off-deed and outdoors, containing three cotton satchels filled with meat. A cedar wagon also parked nearby, containing: 85 meat and one cedar raft. Cedar raft inside wagon contains three cedar buckets and three cotton satchels, all filled with meat. Each barrel contains one cedar bucket, three cotton satchels, and the rest of the barrel filled with meat. Initial meat QL equal to 45.21. Meat left to ripen for approximately 3 days, 18 hours. Please note in this test that the starting meat QL is not the same as in the prior test, and it was left to decay for a longer period, so please do not compare numbers between the two tests! Don't do it! I mean it! Fir Barrel (42.37 QL, 2.0 dmg) Cotton Satchel (10.49 QL, 9.5 dmg) 35 meat (Cedar count: 0, avg. of remaining 37.52 dmg): 1 - 0 dmg, 2 - 8.85 dmg, 5 - 18.55 dmg, 7 - 29.42 dmg, 11 - 41.95 dmg, 8 - 57.19 dmg, 1 - 77.86 dmg, 36 destroyed (50.7% loss) Cotton Satchel (10.49 QL, 9.5 dmg) 39 meat (Cedar count: 0, avg. of remaining 39.36 dmg): 3 - 8.85 dmg, 6 - 18.55 dmg, 12 - 29.42 dmg, 4 - 41.95 dmg, 10 - 57.19 dmg, 1 - 70.78 dmg, 3 - 77.86 dmg, 32 destroyed (45.1% loss) Cotton Satchel (10.09 QL, 9.9 dmg) 31 meat (Cedar count: 0, avg. of remaining 33.54 dmg): 2 - 8.85 dmg, 4 - 18.55 dmg, 15 - 29.42 dmg, 7 - 41.95 dmg, 1 - 57.19 dmg, 2 - 77.86 dmg, 40 destroyed (56.3% loss) Cedar Wagon (40.482 QL, 7.54 dmg) 70 meat (Cedar count: 1, avg. of remaining 43.10 dmg): 2 - 0 dmg, 14 - 8.85 dmg, 11 - 18.55 dmg, 7 - 29.42 dmg, 3 - 41.95 dmg, 3 - 44.24 dmg, 11 - 60.10 dmg, 19 - 82.28 dmg, 15 destroyed (17.6% loss) Cedar Raft (16.72 QL) Cedar Bucket (30.93 QL) 47 meat (Cedar count: 3, avg. 17.95 dmg): 9 - 0 dmg, 12 - 8.85 dmg, 5 - 17.69 dmg, 4 - 18.55 dmg, 11 - 28.44 dmg, 6 - 40.81 dmg, 0 destroyed Cedar Bucket (31.82 QL) 47 meat (Cedar count: 3, avg. 20.15 dmg): 3 - 0 dmg, 12 - 8.85 dmg, 9 - 17.69 dmg, 6 - 18.55 dmg, 10 - 28.44 dmg, 7 - 40.81 dmg, 0 destroyed Cedar Bucket (31.70 QL) 47 meat (Cedar count: 3, avg. 18.11 dmg): 8 - 0 dmg, 10 - 8.85 dmg, 6 - 17.69 dmg, 6 - 18.55 dmg, 12 - 28.44 dmg, 5 - 40.81 dmg, 0 destroyed Cotton Satchel (10.49 QL) 71 meat (Cedar count: 2, avg. 23.96 dmg): 8 - 0 dmg, 22 - 8.85 dmg, 10 - 18.55 dmg, 6 - 26.54 dmg, 3 - 29.42 dmg, 9 - 38.59 dmg, 11 - 52.99 dmg, 2 - 71.81 dmg, 0 destroyed Cotton Satchel (10.49 QL) 71 meat (Cedar count: 2, avg. 33.68 dmg): 2 - 0 dmg, 11 - 8.85 dmg, 14 - 18.55 dmg, 5 - 26.54 dmg, 3 - 29.42 dmg, 17 - 38.59 dmg, 11 - 52.99 dmg, 8 - 71.81 dmg, 0 destroyed Cotton Satchel (10.49 QL) 71 meat (Cedar count: 2, avg. 25.94 dmg): 7 - 0 dmg, 15 - 8.85 dmg, 14 - 18.55 dmg, 4 - 26.54 dmg, 9 - 29.42 dmg, 10 - 38.59 dmg, 9 - 52.99 dmg, 3 - 71.81 dmg, 0 destroyed Tentative conclusions from test 2: Conclusions from test 1 seem to have held water. Higher cedar count definitely seems to matter, possibly without bound. Meat stacks with cedar count 0 suffered much more item loss than meat stacks with cedar count 1. Stacks with cedar count of 2 or 3 suffered no item loss, but every stack with cedar count 2 suffered greater total damage, and greater maximum damage on any single item, than every stack with cedar count 3. More testing may still be necessary to determine if time between decay ticks is affected by cedar count. That was a lot of numbers and words to type, so... let's finish this up, shall we? Overall conclusions: Cedar containers slow down the decay of their contents. The more cedar containers an item is nested in, going all the way up to the highest parent container, the more the decay of that item is slowed. For example, an item inside a cedar bucket, inside a willow raft, inside a cedar knarr (2 cedar containers), will decay more slowly than an item inside a cedar bucket in inventory, a birch knarr, etc. (1 cedar container). If you want to slow decay on an item but don't have a magical chest, you can't bank it, and you can't or don't want to put it in the inventory of yourself or a storage alt, your best bet is probably to nest as many cedar containers as possible ([[[[[Bucket] Large Barrel] Raft] Huge Tub] Vehicle]?), inside a building, on-deed. Amphorae also slow decay of contents, as confirmed by staff (see linked post above). According to WU code, the effect is the same in magnitude as it is for a cedar wooden container, and implemented the same way, so you can still benefit from nesting an amphora inside a cedar container or vice versa. I may test to verify this in the future. Cedar is, more than ever, the obvious choice for pretty much anything that serves as a container, whether it's a ship, a chest, a barrel, or anything else you can make out of wood. Almond milk, while vegan-friendly and not unhealthy, should not be construed as a nutritional replacement for animal milk, as the former is lacking in many important nutrients found in the latter, especially protein content. I am a very tired man.

Thank you everyone so much for the help today on that evil dragon. So I found...errrr was found by a black dragon hatchling while hunting today. After finding myself with help, we threw a deed down. No luck trapping the dragon though. She didn't want to go in. We had more help and no luck. We fence her while keeping aggro to figure out. So we decided to do a last minute kill. Of course as soon as people started coming, she escaped lol. Finally got her into a mine. I had a couple people on cele, tons of alliance and chaos JK friends head over to help. Even some people I didn't even know showed up. So thank you all for the help. Although there were a couple people mining and popping it open before we were ready lol. We got the beast down. It was fun having so many friends and alliance people come help last minute. JK and Cele, you guys are awesome!!!!!

As above, Would like to see the possibility of adding "Groups" like in Inventory, In containers like the large chest/Large magical chest. Would make things a lot easier to organize and sort.

Hey all, maybe I am the last one to notice, and only made aware of it by a customer who seriously intends to travel 3 hours instead mailing an item, because you can only mail an item 10 times in total? If you put your item in the mailbox and attempt to send it, there is a little counter in the column "left". That's supposed to show how often you can mail something. What if someone mails their stuff to get it imped, doesn't know what this is, and can't get it mailed back because it ran out of mailing options? Would be so frustrating if I had to travel for everything I need imped. Beside the negative effects on "custom enchant" and "improving stuff" busineness. Can we have this "feature" removed please? I would much prefer to mail my stuff to my favourite crafters for imps. And as a priest I have no other option than to have others help me with the crafting. What do you think?

I really enjoy timelapse videos. Although, the actually terraforming took me several hours...

yeah lets remove anything fast instead of making slow things faster because we need bigger maps and slower travel this makes the game more fun and easier for new people to get into

As a brand new player it may be difficult but with some determination, your goal is not at all unrealistic. Be careful though because if you spend all your time working for coin you will miss out on a lot of the fun experiences that this game offers. My advice is to buy premium for the first while and enjoy the game. Find the activities that you like best and develop your skills. Learn about the market by reading trade chat and the forums and find your niche based on the things you enjoy doing. Welcome to Wurm!

As I tend to do this at slayings I attend anyway, I figured I'd offer this a little wider. I have 90 nat subs and I'm happy to mix unique bloods into potions for no charge. If you'd like something mixed, mail me the blood (same name in-game) and I'll send back the potion (CoD'ed for 1i). You do not need to supply source crystals or salt, although if you're sending a large number of bloods, I'd appreciate some source (either crystal or salt) - 1 crystal does 30 bloods, FWIW, and I do have a fair stash of them. Obviously, you're not guaranteed to get a high ql potion - what I produce is what you'll get back. I'm not in game every day, so please be patient - it may take a couple of days to turn your mixing around, particularly if this offer proves popular. I reserve the right to refuse service, or to terminate this offer at any time - if I don't mix your bloods for whatever reason, they will be returned to you. I will not accept CoD'ed bloods - you pay postage both ways. Mixed potions will go back to the char who sent the bloods. If you have a particularly large haul that you'd like mixed, and you'd prefer to save on postage, you're welcome to come visit in person - I'm at Southern Release (around P15 in-game); probably best to PM me to arrange a time.

This is crazy, it is time to send my huge axe out to my favorite weaponsmith who lives on another server. But I can no longer do this, I will have to either find a new weaponsmith closer, or spend a few hours sailing over and waiting for the weapon to get imp'd. Which is ridiculous as I will have to make sure he is on and doing weapons at the time I go over to get the work done. Even if I find another weaponsmith on the same server, it will mean waiting around while he does the work.

A few times in game I've been chatting with lower to mid level FS players and a repeating theme comes up. There are no low to mid level events like Rifts and unique hunts. Sure low and mid level players can attend these event, but without higher level players, these events would be doomed to fail. Now kinda just brainstorming for ideas for low to mid level events. I was thinking Goblin villages(Low end) and troll villages(mid end) that can spawn like Rifts but act different after the spawn. A random un deeded plot of land on a server is picked to spawn the village. After spawn a semi-fortified village appears, inhabited by the mob type. They stay close to the village to defend it and respawn rate for the mob type inside the village area is increased. Defeat the mobs in the village causes the village to "disband" with some loot to attract people to the event but not so useful to attract us higher FS players. The village will stay until defeated. After defeated the area could be deeded without the spawned buildings blocking deeding(Either being auto destroyed after the event or being easy to destroy). Anyway, just a rough idea. Lets see what we can brain storm for lower to mid level events.

I have done this a few times in the past and i have decided to advertise publicly.since there seem to be a lot of players leaving and possible mass quit when fountain pans pop. If you are leaving Wurm (tired/bored, moving on, too much RL, rage quit) and a long time player or have a good collection of cool, interesting, unique, or rare things that you (provably) own, then I may be willing to give you a reasonable price for the lot. Do not expect top dollar or the market price for every item all added up, but it will be fair and have not had complaints. If you decide that my price is not enough i will not be heart broken if you decide to sell it individually and may offer some advice about selling in chunks based on scrapes and sales/trade logs over the passed year. Why? I like cool and interesting things. I want to preserve history and i have a museum concept I plan to make public one day (still trying to figure out the details) to show the collection. I also like cool stuff What is in it for you? Silver for your things that you prize/prized and peace of mind and quick sale and potentially immortalized in a collection. Another way to put it, no being stuck in WTS for months, no losing stuff to decay, no losing stuff to looting What will i buy? Rares large and small (movable) Enchanted and high ql items Unique, legacy, heritage, signature Unusual or hard to find/accumulate items ...assuming i am interested in what you have in the above list, then and only then, bulk/high ql materials, rare ships, rare vehicles I will not buy... characters source fountains/springs buildings boats (other than rare, or maybe knarr/caravel if used to transfer the items) vehicles (other than rare or not-freedom colors) animals timeshares Basically there must a reasonable amount of interesting items, then i be willing to buyout everything including high ql or bulk materials and the idea is that you are leaving or offloading an estate, which is to say i am looking estates collections as a whole, not spring cleaning. I am also collecting interesting stuff, not trying to be the market leader in hota statues Examples; [yes] signature items from legendary, honored, or passed past players, [no] four rares and 10k dirt [yes] many years of normal play and accumulation of rares, enchanted items, gifts, ..hard to find items, legacy items [no] dozen high ql weapons...and nothing else [yes] collections, storage (smc/lmc/merchants), bulk rare furniture/decorations [no] bunch of (finished/unfinished) MR/JK/Hots banners, flags, towers,... or wagons (this stuff is interesting, but in no way unique unless rare or the particular kingdom is no more) [yes] years of accumulation that happens to contain existing chaos kingdom peripheral (as part of a collection i would consider them of worth) [maybe] Couple/few years of normal play and accumulation of rares, enchanted items, gifts, ... Disclaimer/Caveats/Notes as follows: I will pay with silver, not USD or Euro. If i make an exception it will be because the pope, superman, captain america, Rolf, or thousands of people can vouch for you over a long history You must be provably the owner or proxy of the sale, no exceptions. If you got it because your best friend in RL does not play anymore or you looted it, then i want nothing to do with it regardless of price. Proxy is if the owner logs in and tells me in game and on the forums he is he owner and you will be handling the sale, if that is not possible i am willing to discuss other ways to prove it. All items must be clearly visible in screenshot prior to agreement and accounted for at time of sale, which means they all must be present and loaded/loadable at time of sale; discrepancies will significantly discount the sale. Sceenshots of all items will be taken just before sale Other than screenshots all sales and negotiations to be done in forum PMs privately, chat logs can be modified so for parties involved the forum PM is best I may accept a deed if that is easiest to transfer the items. All alliances and roles should be dropped, all relevant structures would be transferred to an alt prior to sale, but before the deed is transferred. I reserve the right to resell stuff (only so many rare spindles i can ever use) unless it is a special item and you specially ask me to to never sell it I also reserve the right to donate items to official or publicly organized events unless you specially ask me not to I will not pay top dollar, i am buying bulk and averaging the value, with that said i have not had a complaint or anyone not satisfied yet. The sale, terms, items, and amount will be private unless you post otherwise PvE only, unless you bring it to PvE and properly owned in Chaos, i.e. not gained through cheats/exploits or betrayal, then the ownership restrictions may be less, but will be holding period I may be willing to hold limited amount of specific items for people for a period of time If you have items you would like see donated to events and have a high value then i will assist in working something out with officials (last estate i bought had several items the person wanted to see as prizes for events, he handled that part himself), but i will not buy things that you wish to be donated. Other If your deed has already fallen and looters are already stripping the place or burning the walls with scav deeds then you will be responsible for loading the items and bringing them to a predetermined place (once an agreement is reached) for sale, i do not have time to be trolled/griefed because someone spent a bunch of money to loot your deed

i believe the intent here is to make player performance less based on how high end your gear is and more based on teamwork and strategy not just "oh well we all have oakshelled supreme 90/90 geared 5 speed hellhorses and you dont, so ya gl new guise"

I wouldn't mind so much if it's just on players since they can tell you anyway or items you can examine, but I'm not too keen on the idea of encouraging people casting oakshell on their horse until its a 90+ power thornshell. So if on players +1, casts on items +1, casts on animals -1

Hey all, Thx to FF boys for bringing up this thread in their latest video and also for the shout out. I hadn't seen this post at all as i haven't been on the forums much lately. I have been playing a little bit and by no means stopped doing wurm videos, it's just about time or the lack of and actual time to myself to make videos. The long short of it is -- in point form--- - new house being built and taking a year overdue. -Child enrolled at school 1.5hrs from current home in new area, so driving everyday. We hoped we were in the new house when school started this year >< Hoping within the month we will be settled in the new place. We will have fibre to the premise so I will be able to stream. I will actually get free time to make video. Emoo is right, I have been playing other games as well, but that's always been the case. It is good to see people are still watching my video even though I havent made one for 6 months, I have been getting subs every week. I will be back!

If branded, rclick your inventory icon (in inventory) - manage - animals, click the "radio button" next to the horse name, scroll down the window with all branded animals, there will be a "Get direction" option, which can help you find it easily.

A couple of days after my last post, I discovered that PayPal will automatically charge your CC to resolve a negative balance. You can't remove the CC when your account has a negative balance either. Therefore, since I owe a lot less than most people here, I just swallowed the $70 loss and closed my PayPal account permanently. I wish the price of silver on the WO store was 1EU = 1s because I think it would eliminate the need/want of players buying silver from other players. I think it would inject more silver into the game and the shop would also make more money from players. Reason being, for some people like myself the exchange rate from EU to my currency is abysmal. I doubt this will happen though and it's just a dream. Anyway, I will no longer buy/sell deeds, items or silver for real money in Wurm Online. This aspect of the game that was once possible is now dead for me. I will just have to stick to buying silver from the shop and since I know it costs a lot of money, I will have to limit how much I buy and focus more on grinding my skills to get to 70 or 80 to be in a position to make money in-game with more ease.

remove hota (play date to pvp, stale) remove hell horses (seriously) remove rare/supreme/fantastic (3 speed horse? NO PROBLEM) remove glimmer/addy/seryll (more items to collect instead of playing game) remove multi tiered buildings (lol lets go siege a deed and fire 500 shots to get through the first layer xd) remove cave dwellings (if thats a thing yet, if not, oh well.. still remove it) remove player gods (###### spell lists) remove valrei items (###### items) remove valrei missions (more ###### items to collect) remove rifts (more ###### items to collect) remove tower capping altogether (inb4 "you dont 'own' that territory if you can't protect it" arguement.. sure yeah.. but bashing also fixes that) revert archery debuff revert minedoor change revert backup horse CR nerf most likely more, ill think of them while i finish this movie :v inb4 "oreo the title says 'real pvpers' " meme

Not necessary. A somewhat good example of a game designed along those ideas is Haven and Hearth. The client is open source, any kind of modification allowed. The devs actively look at what people do with the client and change their game design where needed. Ultimately it's a tradeoff. For some people the integrity of the game is the most important thing ever, others want a fun game and couldn't care less. There is probably some kind of sweet spot on those scales where most players would be happy. Another scale would be how much money they are willing to pay for that integrity, as resources of developers are limited. e.g. Blizzard can spend millions on Warden and sending lawyers to deal with the most prominent cheat providers. For them its a drip in the sea since they have >5M subs that pay 15$/mo each. For Rolf that has 1000x less players, investing so much in anticheat measures would be completely unrealistic. I mean nobody is going to pay $15000 sub to play a cheat free game.

I am one of the original villagers from when the deed was founder right after server opened and will take care of this place as good as I can <3 Thank you Brandonsf for your confidence.

in reality working 30 minutes a week at a gas station will pay more then 30 hours a week playing wurm. since selling silver can be dodgy and is not regulated and prices fluctuate etc, also its very grindy to do so. but if you have time to burn, don't like gas station and don't mind making less then a Chinese sweat shop worker then its possible for sure

I'll be converting my Paaweelr follower to priest in a few days. About to hit 30 faith. If you run these again, I will surely send Mewantcookie over.

Wasn't this put in for pvp reasons though?* Maybe just remove the ability to use mailboxes when enemies are in local (this might be a thing already, haven't pvped in awhile though.) I'm for the removal though, there are better methods to handle this. I've actually never run into it yet for some reason however, unless it was changed recently haven't been actively playing this week. *Like I know pvpers are going to probably troll me if i don't explain here, but seriously sending off your entire inventory to avoid losing items isn't what pvp is about might as well be playing on freedom then if you afraid to loose stuff.

+1 always been a silly idea. While we're at it can we do away with things that don't fit in mailboxes? Anything that is currently "too big" should just cost 2c to send instead of 1c. Perhaps add a new, larger mailbox type if it pleases people better. Drives me nuts when i have to hand deliver things like longbows while 90% of other creations can be mailed.

If suggestions about returning players get more consideration then consider how the mail limit effects them; I have only a few items which are worth mailing multiple times and I have played 3 years. Imagine how frustrating it must be to be to a returning player who can't even mail their items when they log in.
  48. 1 point
I would of posted it there, but its not a suggestion really per say, its a old mechanic that serves no real purpose and is even more of a problem now due to mail being reduced to 1c as items are sent away for imping more often, rather than waiting a longer period. Dev's don't seem to read the suggestions section, but I will from time to time see them post in this forum. Especially after seeing how fast the faction fight guys got there 'suggestion' booted right to the top of the list this seems a more appropriate place to make this post.

They want to make it easier for returning players to get around in wurm, how about removing this restriction?

yeah we really need to get rid of mailing limit +10000000
