5 pointsHello there, Currently, as you know, the Wurmpedia is down. Rolf is doing some behind the scenes work on it that has put it out of commission for a few hours but he is working tirelessly to get it back up and running. This also includes the in game Wurmpedia that is accessed through the client. So for now if you need to access information on the Wurmpedia I would suggest using the cached version that is available through Google. Below is a walk-through about how to go about doing that for those of you that do not know how to. First: You need to google the wurmpedia article. To do this type into google "Wurmpedia <the article title>" without the quotation marks. For example, say I need information on the fighting skill of an octopus. I would type into google "Wurmpedia Animals" as that is the page were this information is located and it would show up as the first result on the page. Second: You would need to access the cache of the page available through google. In order to do this there is an arrow right next to the green url bar under the result title (see picture in the spoiler) click it and then click cache. Results: The results of this will bring up a page similar to the one in the spoiler below. It will not look like a normal Wurmpedia page but it will serve you just as well. All the information on the live version is there and is not different so don't worry. So as a community for anyone that may have this question please direct them to this thread and hopefully Rolf with have the Wurmpedia up and running again. Thank you so much, Zachariah

4 pointsHealing will be looked at too, but takes longer time to evaluate what is balanced and what impact it has on the rest of PvP, and PvE. I know there's frustration with PvP changes not coming fast enough, but we need to take time to ensure that what does come works

3 points30% is a compromise while we work on a larger revamp of meditation. It means we dont nerf it too hard, while still reducing its impact. It may be completely changed come the rebalancing. We'll also be looking at valrei buffs such as continuum, truestrike as well as 2h weapons vs archery, and various other parts

2 pointsHi, we're going to try to switch the web server to a new machine on Monday at 10 AM CET. If things don't work properly we'll switch back but it would probably mean some issues with starting the client for an hour or so while the DNS is updating. Fingers crossed! Rolf EDIT: Okay we did a bit of a ninja test today with Wurmpedia which admittedly didn't work out too well. We're going to do another bit more scheduled one tomorrow Saturday at 7pm CET. Please take note!

2 pointsCould it be possible to make singular Platforms just like the bridge supports, that can be sunk into water to make actual Docks? All they would have to do is be a singular leveled platform based on the tile they connect to. Options would be given for a flat, 1 fence side, 2 fence sides or 3 sided fenced. The same could be done for adding onto Decks onto a cliff. Just like bridges but 1 at a time sections. I'm sure a lot of people would love these.

2 pointsAFAIK it's not possible. The problem is that the browser gets the number from steam, which counts users with active authentication sessions to that specific server - that's also why it doesn't count multiple logins from the same account, or people that kill steam after logging in.

2 pointsI think the extensive testing is being conducted by slickshot on desolution? Cause he has spent so much time playing on chaos its logical that he does this testing so he can feel he has the knowledge to make comments on PvP.

2 pointsAlso it should be noted that with sotg being decreased, the effectiveness of valrei buffs is then comparatively much greater, and buff stacking will be the next big issue instead of sotg. Players on epic already have stacked many valrei items for extra damage reduction, with smoke of sol being the most popular for giving a physical damage reduction buff Also continuum giving temporary 20%dr is like an extra mini sotg. By stacking valrei buffs and nerfed sotg like many players already do, they will still be at the same level as a pre-nerf sotg player without valrei buffs. Damage reduction stacking is one of the main problems here, not just the large amount of DR given by sotg. 2 pointsIf you provide the new IP address people can just edit their hosts file to point wurmonline.com to the new IP and not have even 1 second of downtime even while DNS is still propogating, just food for thought.

1 pointWe can Rclick "Float" the Friends tab, causing the Friends list to pop outside of the Event/Friends/Combat etc. chat tab; would be awesome to be able to float the Local tab player list so that you don't have to resize the entire chat window in order to extend the local list.

1 pointI would like to see an additional option added to buildings. Store mode. A completed building, walls, floors, and roof could be set to "store mode" when a merchant is placed inside. When in Store Mode all items placed inside of the building that is now a store, are listed for sale on the merchant. Each item dropped in the store is listed individually with exception to items left in crates, BSB's and FSB's. You could set a price for each item, and more specifically each "stack of items" in a crate, bsb or fsb could then be listed for a "per unit" cost. This would take some work, but would finally allow people in wurm to actually conduct some trade. Why can't I sell arrows, crops or any other resource material without having to place it on a merchant 1 at a time? At one point and time I wanted to be a fuel merchant, selling peat, but that's IMPOSSIBLE. The merchant system was passable 8+ years ago but can anyone tell me any changes merchants have had over the years? Sorry, last min addition to this. Would it also be possible to add "renting" to a structure. This way people can host market deeds and actually pay for them?

1 pointI would like to see a storage unit to store up to 6 or more small barrels, that way it wouldn't use as much graphics and be a better organization for those of us who have lots of barrels lying around.

1 pointHigh digging lets you see slopes from a distance, but currently mining does not. Please give higher level mining the ability to read slopes from a distance as well. Both let you level & flatten. You dig a surface or surface mine. Very similar results happen from either. Just not sure why only digging let's you read slope from a distance.

At no point in the "when you get skill" code (as opposed to "how much skill you get") are those enchantments called. Thus, CoC should never change how often you get ticks (other than how they're displayed, as per thresholds) Making everything Hailene said entirely correct. *WU code may not apply to WO code; though, as ever, it's worth asking "who actually took the time to change this between WO and WU? Why?". Grind with moderation; use a comfortable seating position and be aware of issues such as RSI.

1 pointAgreed. hence why I also suggested a change in how the powers activated and a remake of the insanity tree (which has a tremendously high ammount of ###### untill lvl 11) Cuz.... The tanks dont get targeted... cuz you kno... logic... I mean for crying out loud, do i really need to explain the basics of tank/dps/healer in mmos for ya? To the diffrense of NPCs, people dont go for the tanks cuz there is no bloody reason to do so lol.

1 pointIt seems illogical to me that an older account should be wanting to go for a 30 skill ability over a 70 skill ability, just as illogical that a 30 skill ability should be stronger than a 70 skill ability I don't even see how sotg relates to people being cowards. Being tanky is so you can stay in the fight longer can only benefit your group especially if you're already a tank pre-meditation which also means you're hitting harder than everyone else already, being a coward would be not entering the fight at all which you don't need sotg or anything to do that, since obviously damage reduction only works if you can be targetted to get hit

1 pointPretty sure the 50->30 is gathered from my comments in the past. 1/0.7 = ~1.4285 vs hates dmg modifier 10*1.5 = 1.5 30 was a number for making it more in line with hates dmg bonus. The "ideal" number to cancel the 2 powers out would be 1/3 dmg reduction. in other words: It was a logical simple number that would have allowed newbs to quickly get hate path and allow them for the duration of the ability to get the same power modifier as a person with SOTG. However since newbies got less skill and dmg output, benefit wise it would still be better if they are stronger meatshields and thus let the older accounts deal their superior dmg longer. After some further discussion 25% and 20% was proposed. Older accounts who chosed hate for superior damage would be more fragile and thus be more viable targets in a pvp engagement than the newer people and in general older accounts that had a weaker (20-25%) sotg would become more viable as a target aswell since their dmg output would be substantially higher than a rookie account. Basicly, its about trying to find a balance between dmg output and dmg mitigation where new and older accounts become both viable targets in combat due to their "benefits". In a similar way AOE healers are priotised nowdays becouse of the benefits they bring in terms of dmg mitigation for the whole group. Technically it would make sense to have your most tanky players in hate path after the change since they wouldn't be targeted and thus can perform an extra 50% dmg while the "meatshields" are dying. However people are cowards and want to be the last that die (if at all) and thus will stick to gone even if it's at 20% and logically inferior in terms of benefit for the group. And guess what! i wanna reward those with a pair of balls. (wish it was the same for those who didnt go in dragonscale/moonmetal by buffing offensive benefits of the lighter armour types) ps. this is for the perspective of fully/semi open combat on epic.

So freedom have all that op stuff which meant to be for pvp only, and without any risk but can not have a Libila colossus... That's kinda sad... +1

1 pointThanks Magykal thats exactly what i was trying to say in my brutal, badly written, with bad typing (as everybody who knows me can attest to) , wholly obnoxious yet kind hearted with bad approach kinda way.. thanks.. i have tried normal, i have tried comedy and still some of you don't think my points are worth beans, but i love Wurm and i am new. and i wanna stand up for the new person in my own way.. and i apologize as i too cringe when i read my emotionally tedious posts but face it the're straight from my heart from a guy that has lived a more hellish and down right fearfully brutal life than put to shame even the worst nightmare that you can imagine.. so don't be big babies and my posts shall disappear like they ought to... sometimes the truth needs to be heard no matter the pain it causes now.. its called getting closure. from one who knows alot about that.. sincerely />salamon

1 pointShield of the Gone has been reduced to a 30% Damage reduction On Desolation we are currently trialing SOTG at 25% reduction (we will update it to 30 next server restart to match Wurm). One concern that has been raised is the SOTG reduction for champs. I haven't seen that mentioned in any of these updates specifically so just wanted to make sure someone is aware there has been a concern flagged that when reducing SOTG for normal players, champions also should have a SOTG reduction as well. Not reducing champs seems to lead to less open field PVP/roaming. Our testing is still early though as well. Hope it helps. ~Nappy

1 pointAs things are being wrapped up i feel i have to say a few words. First and foremost Thank you all for making this possible. An event like this are impossible to organise without help from other players, everything from imping, handling out material and last but not least holding the sermonlist. I know i am kind of a control freak but letting go of the control actually feels good and it has given me confidence to maybe try this again. I dont want to make a huge list of people that helped out but you all know who you are, none mentioned none forgotten. Again thank you for making this possible.

1 pointHere's an email I got the other day. Dear GM, The players are a big problem here. They think it's cool to build everywhere, put fences up and imprison us and dig up acres of ground we need for food. Horses and bison get made into slaves to pull those wheeled monsters they have and they are forever jumping on their backs for a ride. Is there any way they can be deleted as they are making this grazing game impossible to play now. My family and I agreed to use your server because it was quiet and fun to play but now, since this latest update, these humans are not what we wanted, they spawn everywhere, there isn't a single spot they have not taken over now.
