    (this is mostly for pve, but AFAIK it shouldn't really matter for pvp anyway) With how branding was made more useful recently, this is another feature that I'd love to have. Doesn't need to be the same protection, basically any protection at all would be great. Eg. only allow villagers of the brand deed pick the corpse up for some duration, or some other mechanic. Horse gear can be worth 50s-1g+ nowadays, and it would sure suck to lose it due to having your mount killed accidentally (eg. targeting your own untamed mount), or because of losing internet connection, etc.

    This thread... I'm pve with all the moon metals you mad? Pvp get so offended by pve owning stuff like this why? Who cares? Honestly don't see why more random events is a bad thing, add life into the game even if it's strictly just seryll, chaos can butcher valrei for it, freedom can't obtain it at all. Casting mend @ 20dmg nearly forgot this

    It would be a nice thing to add in for WO in the future to reduce the number of support calls that are related to running 32-bit java on a 64-bit machine.

    I love the addition of diagonal roads, but I also like the new cobblestone textures. I am using the round cobblestone on my deed for the majority of the roads, but i feel constrained not being able to make diagonal roads. Please add all road types to the "pave the nearest corner" feature. Griphyth

    Manawurm - http://manawurm.com/ Basic information We're a small community lead by myself a csharp programming and server administrator hoping to primarily use the servers and community to test any future mods I might make, What you should expect is some extremely reliable servers all hosted in one of the two data centers I am partnered with the primary being. rackforce which is a canadian datacenter. We've not decided on much yet I can't throw down a beautiful list of expected features because I believe the community should be the deciding factor in how the servers are configured. Staff policy Unfortunately having staff with a nonprofit setup like this can lead to misfortune when it comes to GM's and simply not allowing them to have fun and play as a player would will lead to failure and a constant shuffle of staff members ultimately leading to the clusters failure. I'm hoping to automate most of the GM process using mods and limit the GM team to 1-3 extraordinarily reliable people who have no drive to play the game and simply enjoy helping. Launch day Most likely we won't have any map tools comes launch day so we will be forced to use what the game comes with which is 2 beautiful and rather large maps, That leaves us with 1&1 PVP&PVE side by side which isn't ideal as we've discussed on our forums arranging the servers is vital to having a healthy PVP setup without alienating PVE. What might be necessary is a few months in after we've designed the maps we're happy with moving over all existing characters and just sucking it up and dealing with a map wipe but this is something that will be discussed within the community and decided on as a community but PVP wipes should be expected. Back-end One thing you can always count on with our cluster is the back-end of things will be tight and reliable, I've got more servers sitting around then I could ever actually put to use having access to my own racks and multiple data centers across Canada, I'm able to run these extremely powerful machines at no cost so there will never be a need to collect donations to keep our services running. I keep these servers hardware up to date and running good for my own needs as a programmer. I'm working on a few of my own games that can barely scratch the surface of using these servers to there full potential. Hiring I will be seeking several if not more very knowledgeable people willing to take up arms and sit there for countless hours helping the flood of new steam players that will know absolutely nothing about the game, the first step in getting involved is heading over to our forums and inserting your opinion everywhere you can about how things should be operated.     should be the same one deed per character per server. You can just log out and back in on another character though, there is no limit to how many characters you can make.

    I'm fine with super hard mobs that aren't easy to kill, but being stunlocked to death with 0 way to block or avoid the stun at all in any form of way is not even close to being an easy or tough fight, because it's not a fight. It's pretty messed up and the main/only issue I have with nogumps/drakes, I don't even care that eagles/drakes can fly through walls, its just the nogump/drake stuns that are messed up. It's not often I'll label something as broken, but these stuns are a broken mechanic imo

    The Truth About Dragon Fang Mountain Recently an expedition of three unnamed persons set out to climb to the top of Dragon Fang mountain. (The highest peak on the Independence server). Their goal, reach the top and plant a sign up there for all passersby to see. At first their trek was an easy one, deciding to ascend the NW facing. They followed the path blazed by many a Wurmian. Then it happened. Once their journey took them passed the first ring, they noticed something just wasn't right. A foul odour unknown to them began to permeate the air. Their climbing gear was becoming increasingly less effective. The consistency of the statuesque mountain seemed to be changing ever so slightly. One of the three in the party had had enough and turned around and headed for home. The other two however, trudged on. Soon, the couple found their footwear was hampering the climb... so off came the boots. Their bare feet seemed to mold directly into Dragon Fang with each step. This went on for metre after metre until one of the two remaining two climbers panicked and decided he couldn't take it anymore, and began his descent. As the last anonymous climber slowly continued despite the fog, he could barely make out the peak of DF not too far in the distance. With great determination our hero trudged to the top. What was this he saw? A sign out of no where appeared between waves of fog. A sign that read, "Eladia's discarded cheese pile".

    After a frustrating hour trying to sort my permissions for an alt deed, I found out that the ability to manage another settlement has been changed to citizens only and would like to know why?

    So if I want to make a road that happens to be diagonal, I can only use regular cobblestone. Can we add other tile types to the 'Pave Corner' action ? It seems that it would just be an image change and adding an option to the current list of choices..

    I have a stone house off-deed on Release (O,13). It's getting very rapid decay. The walls are QL 80 (stone walls) and getting 1-2 damage per day. Seems abit off. The house is connected to a bridge if that matters.

    I take it you refer to harvesting seasons. From the information we have it works like this: For each fruit there is a "reference week" for harvest (for example: 3rd week of Raven for apples). Due to the randomness the actual harvesting period can start at any time between "reference week - 2 weeks" and "reference week + 2 weeks". So, here is what I will do: during the 2 weeks preceding the reference week WurmClock will tell you something like "Apple: Early harvest possible" (code "Apple(-)" for now), during the reference week you will get "Apple: harvest likely" (code "Apple(0)"), and during the 2 weeks following the reference week it will be something like "Apple: Late harvest possible" (code "Apple(+)"). It's the best I can do.

    Sneak preview: "WurmClock V3" is coming soon: It's still WIP, but rapidly approaching release. In addition to the well-known clock "WurmClock V3" will have a new calendar dial, showing the Wurm year with its starfalls (months) and seasons, and will indicate the current time of year (starfall and week). Of course, the calendar display will be optional (for those of you who prefer the smaller "clock-only" version), just like the additional info window shown above. The "Real Time Days" scale will make it easier to calculate the number of real days left until a certain Wurm date (for example the end of winter ). I hope you will like it.

    +1 To all who say PVE doesn't need it, well, PVP doesn't need it either. It helps you, but is not absolutely necessary, same as on a PVE server. As to it being an incentive to play PVP, well that hasn't worked, so give up on that idea. The only access we have on PVE servers to the metals is from Chaos, and that just creates a market for Chaos players to sell it to us. Letting it be on the PVE servers only ruins the market Chaos has now to sell it to us.

    This is why most people don't even attempt to work with people on pvp and instead argue with them, mate. Your telling the entire pve database they have no need for a item.... Ok, well we don't *need* houses either, or bridges, or pretty things. I'm not even going to argue on that point, there is literally no point. MR has sold... I own it. (Benefits of being friends with a few MR) Most of pvp revolves around money, and dangerously so. (It's also what makes it so profitable) Maybe you don't personally do any of this, but others do (including every kingdom) As for getting the good without the bad... Nobody here is asking for it. We want a completely different feature that also happens to give the metals (with a SLIGHT) chance. and for those saying metals give a incentive to play pvp? Well, this quoted part is the opposite... Work on this and you'll have more players then any stupid metal brings you.

    @Druidnature You make good points about the intentionally destroying land aspect. I have had my share of that around my deeds. It did irk me at first so I would expand my deed to stop what they were doing, then I realized.. while they are doing all of that, they are wasting their time when they could be doing something productive and at the same time, I was wasting valuable time and silver to stop them. At that point, I changed my strategy. Let them waste their time and break themselves as they throw themselves at my deed perimeter. I would continue doing what I wanted and working on my projects, simply ignoring their efforts. Guess what... they always get bored and went away. After they would leave, I would go out and reclaim the land, plant trees, or revert back to sand. This also was beneficial to me as I got some really good skill gains out of fixing what they messed up.

    It's just a game, man. Your daily routine on Chaos wouldn't change much, including the part where you guys sail over to Freedom for stuff like unique hunts (you'd just do it more often for the moon metals). It'll give more variety to PvE which is theoretically due an influx of new players. For all the "WU is gonna kill WO" talk, here's one that's gonna happen A LOT. New PvE player (NP) who came in after checking out WU: "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if <x> feature?" Old players: "Been suggested, won't happen" NP: "Why not? Wouldn't mess with balance." Old players: "Only way to get them is on PvP or buy off a PvP'er" NP: "Geez, have you guys considered firing up a thread on suggestions forums?" Old players: "Yeah... right... LOL!!! Good luck with the 'voices of Rolf' shooting down any suggestions like that" NP: "Wait, isn't PvE like the vast majority of the playerbase?" Old players: "Wogic" NP: "Well... I'd brought 5 friends along but if this is more expensive AND we have to pay extra to PvP players for stuff we have on WU... GUYS, WE'RE HOSTING OUR OWN SERVER kthxbye"

    TY all for ur support. Still it's far on the calendar but I daily work to have all ready for January. I spent almost all my game currency buying the prizes for the contests. Then, November and December I will focus on buy all materials needed to improve almost any item type to 70+ The building of impalong is easy to find since it's at the highway from Tap Dance Market to east. There are beds on second floor and a cart park place with enchanted grass. We have a port near, down the hill, at L21. Other possible place where moor ur ships is at K24, east coast of Celebration, but the old way from there is now blocked by a new deed. We are paving a new road like alternative way from east coast to the highway... I hope everithing will be fine and we'll have fun for a good start of new year!

    -1 Stupid idea. Screw over legit merchants on home server. yes some people may store items on a merchant, but there are a lot more people using them as intended. If this were implemented maybe 1/2 storage merchants would be taunted, while all the legit ones would be wiped out.

    You should not have to do any file swapping at all. We have just not uploaded any 32-bit depots on steam until today, so none of the testers have seen them. And they will only see them now if they are running 32-bit windows.

    About that... The person hes referencing that went from 0 to 90 channeling in 50 days with a Nahjo priest, is me. The character's name is Dairukao (Click the Channeling Box to see the timeline of it's skill growth.) To be fair, I also did the Vynora grind in 90 days back when Samool thought it was impossible. It's just in my nature to do the spectacular. Sleep Powder wasn't really a necessity. It went up fast enough without it.

    Same kingdom members cant embark as commanders on unlocked wagons belonging to their kingdom. ps. The permissions cant be managed due to lack of locks.

    Yes, because there's sooooooo many players that have FIVE priests... So why should they listen now? Just because you can sac veggies on freedom now doesn't make it OP. And don't preach about the better spell list either, because veggies + BotD > Veggies+ WoA only. I hate to break it to you, but you don't have to be Nahjo to grind channeling skill quickly. One can easily obtain 60 channeling form Opulence and Light token alone. 90 channeling in 50 days? I doubt that. Not without a hefty stack of sleep powder. Also, we've already talked about sacrificing veggies, Lib priests can do the same thing with a different assortment of spells.

    I, for one, would not be opposed to ugly mountainside fence ladders disappearing from our world. I also thing that proper mountain climbing equipment would be a nice addition to the game

    Nope. Nope and Nope... 2 Nahjos and 1 Vyn do the job of 2 Vyn / 2 Fos and 1 Mag. From that PoV it's a money loss from Rolf pocket book / perspective / whatever. "THE issue" people have with nahjo priest is the same peeps had with libila priests back then. 99.5+ QL crops are way easier to obtain than teeth, glands or whatever "real" alchemy items. Many raised the OP flag back then and no one listen to them. Now we have balance issues for those 2 priests market / favor wise and with illimited cheap favor you can push those priests at high channeling in a few month. Can't even speak of a window of opportunity for so long. And don't tell me i'm wrong when you can get a nahjo to 90 channeling in 50 days with nothing else than Light token, dirt and saccing corn. We are far from the years of work & investment to get a decent priest through channeling / vesseling.

    Nothing the game itself has offered me has ever kept me playing the game, just the people i play with (incl enemy kingdoms). If they play, I play, if they quit, I'll likely quit.

    Nothing, of course . 16 euro a month for 2 characters and another 5 euro for a deed vs a one time 25 euro payment. Plus in WU there wont be any of these griefers. Won't miss any of it for a second.

    It looks pretty much like a severe problem in the Java core. From the looks I don't think the Nvidia driver has anything to do with it. I also don't think it's a bug in Java since this would probably affect more players. The usual suspect for those kind of errors (null pointer access in the Java VM) is the hardware. Maybe a thermic or a memory problem. I'd probably let a memory test like memtest86 run over night to check for any errors there.

Why not just ask Rolf and the Dev's to release copies of all these as maps - Storm, Desertion, Affliction, Serenity, Release, Pristine, Exodus ... all these servers are 2048x2048 Which is the same size of the 2 maps that we get with WU when it ships. I'd also like a copy of the Golden Valley map to go with my WU at some point so i can go back to all the old places i use to build places when i first started Wurm With GV being of a smaller size it should be very easy to copy and add as an add-on map for WU. And b4 anyone says about deeds and stuff on these maps....i mean fresh maps....b4 players added any buildings. That's 8 clean maps that can be added one by one and should be VERY easy to add as they have already being made and they should also add alot to WU for players that already know these maps. As for Warlanders post above - "Personally I think that currently existing maps cannot be released because this would reveal all not discovered good deed spots/resources, while original files of older maps are most likely lost forever." I don't think adding a copy of the GV (Golden Valley) map to WU would break or effect anything in WO ..... so please think about adding that map to WU .... as everyone here is saying - More maps is always a good thing
