    From personal experience leaving <server> to trade or visit hunting locations, I've run into the annoying hassle of sailing for H O U R S on occasion to get from, say for example, independence to celebration. I am not the only one that finds this rather obtuse. Like all worlds, It should be spherical in appreance. What better way to give this illusion then to position server crossings in a pattern such that it appears to be a circular/spherical world? BAM! Chaos in the middle, but arguably well situated to be avoided or visited for PvP reasons Trade routes are closer in some cases (Indi to Cele as an example) All servers reachable within 2 crossings from any map Don't want pvp, you can bypass it completely Western Chaos can finally have decent access to other servers Every single server has access to either Pristine or Release Promotes a more Spherical world by the fact that travel is connected in a near circular pattern One can essentially sail due west, east, north, and south indefinitely creating the feel of a real world Future servers can be added in such a way that it just extends the crystaline structure For example, lets start in Pristine. If we were in the northern hemisphere, traveling north or east takes us to Independence. If we are in the southern hemisphere, traveling south takes us to Deliverance and traveling east takes us to Chaos. **Server placement could be moved around depending on popularity or population. **I did not setup a poll as I feel this to be a finished suggestion. P.S. I have also shot an email on this directly to Rolf, simply outlining a few points and asking him to think about this suggestion.

    I know we are all about wurm being hard and all but priest need a little buff IMO they take so much time or money to get a good one and you don't even get any kind of consistency at all that i can see so far.

    Why not something like this?     As people have suggested before just make dirt automatically pile up like iron ore or rock shards when mining rather than going into your inventory.

    Well, a legion of players buying premium would definitely animate the economy, but most of them would be 10 years old so it would be the end of Wurm as we know it.

    Apologies, this is actually my fault. I couldn't make a deal with the Easter Bunnies union in time. They demanded lead free paint, shorter working hours, hair conditioner, environmentally friendly Easter baskets, high end running shoes, and carrots. I thought we were going to make it in time as we agreed to everything, but when they demanded carrots I just had to walk away from the bargaining table.

    Hi, We have just patched the test server with a new function that I think will work nicely. You can now add tiles to an existing building, and remove tiles from an existing building. Removing tiles means you need to bash all existing adjacent walls and floors on that tile before you can remove the tile from the structure. Please test this properly as it is quite a large change to the codebase and requires alot of testing. Report your findings in this thread! Best regards Zcul

    This has been mentioned many times before i just wanted to say it again. Why is it that we can only change north-south and west-east. Why cant we change each separately as currently i cant expand because of a perim south of my deed but have loads of space north.

    In this brave new age of wurmian innovation, I've come to the conclusion that our world is sorely lacking in ways for the preservation of foodstuffs and rational thought. Therefore, I propose the introduction of the ability to craft Tin Foil out of lumps of Tin. Tin as a material has very little utility in the game as it is, and this would provide an excellent avenue for crafting. Activate Small Anvil. Use on glowing tin lump -> Miscellaneous -> Tin Foil Possible uses for it are for wrapping meals (one use only), to eliminate the accelerated decay from having the foods in your inventory. It'll decay like it was in a barrel. Also, tin foil hats. For stylish protection against unsavory ideas and bird droppings. It is my hope that Rolf will realize that this game will never truly be complete without this essential addition to the crafting toolset. Please all state your support below.

    Sure, lets drop a change that will benefit the vast mayorie of the servers population in order to not to mess with your actual deed placement, and while on that lets revert the new mobs caps because it cause a major impact in the meat factory owners, etc. +99 to OP

    I didnt call you stupid yet, I just said that I think the idea is stupid, sorry if I dont go into a wall of text to explain what, to me, is self evident. In previous threads I read a lot of players asking for less NPCs, and this is basically a player craftable and controlable NPC, as a matter of fact, one of the aprils fool joke threads was a suggestion similar to this one, that should be a hint as to why people dont support this idea.     I want the ability to resize ONE of the four sides of a Deed. Too many instances where it would be nice to expand, but cannot because of something on ONE side. Being able to re-size ONE of the four directions, without affecting the other three, would be a good thing.

    Where would any additional servers attach? Messing up/changing connections as new servers are added is not something I'd like to see. Some people build in specific places due to the distance from server borders etc. I rather like my location as far from a server border as it's more or less possible to get for that very reason. Changing the current connections could also badly mess up people who have multiple deeds on different servers and have to travel between them to maintain the deeds.

    Map / compass wise... Chaos is the compass in a way as with all traveling the compass would be greatly used with this sort of server setup which is also why i like it.

    (Just wondering) the servers on the right and left (pristine, exo, deli and release) have 2 arrows pointing from them (one going to chaos and another going to a different server). How would you choose which server to go to as there is 2 possible choices on a single side.

    I am having the same issue with hens and atleast on exo its an issue alot of people are having currently. My theory is it has something to do with the recent animal deed changes.

    Of course fixing Elevation should be the priority. My idea of PvP does not involve draining 12 copper and then killing new players to steal their yoyos. Many of us would have no reason to travel all the way to Desertion if Elevation had more to offer, but as of right now, the home servers are the only game in town. But I still have to point out that once Elevation is fixed, the CR nerf will be overkill. Fixing Elevation will remove most of the incentive for killing new players on the home servers in the first place. That in itself is more protection than anyone could ask for. Then when you consider all of the natural protection they have (towers, deeds, numbers, etc), as well as the fact that 90% of the time there are no enemies on the server at all, you'll have to ask yourself whether these servers even belong on the Epic cluster to begin with. They will be even more carebear-ish than they are now. And that's something I can't get behind. Also, I can't stress enough that the players themselves are responsible for their own safety. To see an example of this, try comparing JKH/MRH with Affliction. Affliction has the lowest numbers out of all of the home servers yet it seems to have the most solid defense by a fairly large margin. As far as I can tell, the reason for this is that when someone gets raided on a home server, it's almost always because of something that they did wrong. I mean, at what point do you think to yourself, "I'm going to build a deed right on the coast. But I don't exactly feel like building walls, locking gates, hiring guards, recruiting villagers, or raising my fight skill"? People like this are almost universally the ones who get attacked first, whereas people who build inland and actually bother protecting their stuff are rarely targeted at all. At this point, it's not a game mechanics issue. It's a common sense issue. Don't go whining to Rolf to give you these special CR bonuses just because you chose to make yourself an easy target. No CR nerf is going to protect you from your own stupidity.

    -the server rule safe enclosure is nothing protected by game mechanics, but only enforced by GMs -enclosures structures needs to be maintained, since 1 fallen fence or wall destroys the protection -deeds reduce maintenance chores, because decay of fences and houses are reduced to 0 , so they take no damage aslong as there is more then 1 month upkeep in the village token -deeds can hire templars(for 1 silver per month and 1 silver initial cost) which can protect you against monsters on your deed -deed means no one can take your place away because its game mechanic secured, so no one CAN bash your fences, offdeed they can still attempt to, even if its illegal -deeds also allow management of roles like for your friends/villagers/alliancemembers etc. into detail like farming, woodcutting, taming etc. there are also some general management adjustments that will change it for everyone on the server like pickup on deed grounds -deeds allow you to have another respawning point besides the general server one -on deeds your lamps will be lit automatically once filled (not sure how it exactly works atm but i have no templar and they are burning bright since months ) -you can use your deed to "brand" animals with the deeds name, which makes it possible to lead your animals from a strangers deed (for whatever reason) maybe some others add more XD

    I am going to assume you mean playing on the Freedom cluster since making anything in the Epic or Chaos realms means you are vulnerable to theft. I am also going to assume by enclosure, you mean walling off a section of land and claiming it for yourselves without deeding it. Let me say that having or belonging to a deed and going premium are by far the best way of producing and selling goods. For one thing, items decay at a very high rate off deed and given your low skills, you will be spending a lot of time repairing and improving fencing, buildings, and items as long as you live off deed. Decay reduction is definitely a plus to having a deed. Also, you are afforded some protections again aggro creatures if you have a deed. Third, you may be subject to griefing from others if you decide to camp on public land (griefing varies). Given your low skills, the items you produce will not only be subject to decay off deed, but given the low quality of those items, the decay rate may acutally thwart your efforts to store and sell goods. These are just some of the benefits to having a deed as opposed to squatting on public land. In the end, Rolf has the deed mechanism to not only generate revenue, but also to remove some of the aggravations of non-deed living.

    i believe somewhere rolf mentioned a little bit about why Notch and him split on the Wurm bit. basically, they wanted different things out of a game. The same is probably mostly true to this day. Let's not sugest Notch returns in any way more than an assistant role to Rolf. I rather like what Rolf has done to Wurm... overall. I feel that bringing Minecraft mentality into the mix would water down this game's content. That said, I think skyrocketing player count would do nothing but good. It might bring actual population to these sprawling villages that more resemble ghost towns, to actual population centers.

    For once I can agree with you, Kegan. I wouldn't mind it taking longer to cast e.g. favour regenerating slower and saccing stuff becoming worth less favour, so long as casting was more reliable and less munted. I had a 90 faith 80 chan 74SD Vyn for a month and got pretty much no 90+ casts out of him and bugger all 80+ casts, it's ridiculous

    And the problem was what? You had to go around? If having to go around fenced off areas is a problem then Rolf could easily fix that two ways. Limit enclosure size and protect perimiters from tree cutting, mining and terraforming. Those two things would eliminate a huge number of fences.

    Is it better to build near other houses or find a plot of land with no neighbours? ~~~ Depends on your play-style. How important is it to have clay, tar and such nearby? ~~~ Not very, nice to have iron though. How big should the plot be? ~~~ Depends on play style.     I don't grind for skills like some people do i would have quit a long time ago if i did. I just play the game building and gathering resources for what i need at the time and the skills just come with time. I am at a little over two years now and i am just now seeing my skills going over the 70-80 mark. The bottom line is this game takes time to level skills even more with characteristics but if you can get some good tools with high CoC that helps a little making the gains better when your using SB.

    It sucks the END now hear me out here There's no "constructive feedback" forum so I'm posting this here to give you my impression of the game in the hopes that maybe it will get back to the dev and maybe he'll think about changing it I don't know maybe you guys and he/she, like it this way this is just my impression as a new player coming to pick up the game So I couldn't tell you exactly what server I'm on I know I was told "you are in charge of your own safety" I can understand and respect that it sounds cool I like the idea A PvP and PvE server awesome that's what I want Except when I actually get in game I come to find the combat system sucks it's just plain shitty First of all There was nothing in the tutorial at all about combat A lovely section about first aid (which I don't have because you know, no cotton) And on top of that I expected some form of combat sure but nothing about HOW is actually mentioned and the best part is I'm running through the woods Happy McNoobMan when suddenly all I hear is my character grunting Two things happen here One the amazingly overly complicated button filled combat panel pops out (I have no idea what the ###### any of these buttons mean and Two based on that alone I'm left to assume I'm being attacked but where? From what? why? So basically, I 360 rotate 360 rotate 360 rotate look up look down look under some rocks look around some trees finally it's like oh GEE I think that thing there is attacking me but I can't really tell (attack animations suck by the way) So now I have Half HP and I get to figure the combat system like this Which might not be so bad except you know It's actually (on a scale of 1-10) Everything must be made of ###### titanium impossible to kill ANYTHING (Seriously, I think at one point I died to a rabid dog, which is ###### stupid because as an average height human being why can't I just kick this "rabid aged dog" (basically weak old ass ###### mut) in the ribs and go about my business) So anyway Back to the whole it's Impossible to kill anything in this game (at least with the starter shield and sword I am given) (god forbid you actually have them equiped and have even a quarter of a chance at this point) So I ###### with the buttons Can't figure out what any of them do and I die fine whatever learning experience I put my weapons on first this time head back into the great expanse get attacked ###### with the buttons I die Alright, whatever maybe I did it wrong Play with the stance buttons switch from defensive to normal go into combat spam click some buttons hit it it hits me I die Okay FIENE Whatever I'll try "autofight" it probably has a better clue than I do So I go back into the expanse find more mobs I find them fist, trying to get the initiative So I go blow for blow back and forth it's hurting I'm hurting (I'm kind of pissed it's taking so long and I'm losing so much HP but surely it will drop any moment) NOPE I die Whatever Maybe it got lucky Same thing Go in blow for blow I die Fine, I'll do it myself Read the combat wiki gotta focus attacks to legs slow targets yada yada okay lets go Get into combat Hitting the enemy enemy is hitting me My HPs almost gone Surely his is too I die This is rediculous Happy McNoobMan is now SlightlyDisgruntledMcNoobGuy So this time I go back to the same place To fight the same mob! He's wounded I'm full HP HA HA ###### I have you now! So I fight him Blow for blow WHAT THE ###### I HAVE ALMOST NO HP HE WAS ALMOST DEAD LAST TIME WHAT THE ###### ###### I die I die I die I die TL:DR The point I'm tring to make ALL I DO IN YOUR SHITTY GAME IS DIE It's not even a combat system it's a ###### death system with a 1% of surviving by magic Your combat system sucks complete ass and In my scrub like opinion it needs an overhall Or at least needs to be slightly easier SOMEHOW I seriously leave the gates of town and I'm immediately getting my ass kicked by anything And somehow at one point I was so disgusted and sick of dying something went to fight me and I ALT+F4ed And when I logged back in IT WAS DEAD HOW THE ###### AM I BETTER AT COMBAT WHEN I'M DISCONNECTED? I like the idea behind the game truthfully, I'm hoping to find a 3D Terraria with more potential, purpose, and stuff to build But all I'm finding is the death screen OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and over and it's genuinely just ###### annoying that's my opinion I don't expect it to magically get better somehow but it's definitely something that could be worked on and while I fire the game up every now and then I'm seriously consider dropping the game straight on it's head because I can't stay logged in more than 5 minutes without dying to something So it may or may not be too late for me but if it improves in the future, I'd definitely come back and I'm sure that at least one or two more people in the future would be able to get into it and play it easier

    The whole thing is idiotic, on a PvP server you need horses and remounts for every pvper, but deed space is generally limited due to defensibility, seems to just make the server even less attractive to newcomers and current players alike

    Heh, I merely assumed the body bags for just female corpses was a bug, and it will eventually be used for both male and female human corpses. Looks good, and nicely avoids the problems inherent in having corpse models customized for everyone.
